...in your opinion, would KO (or be the beginning of a definite TKO/KO victory)...any top 10 of the respective division.

Example: Would any current top 10 at 154lbs stand up to Hearns' right hand that KO'D Duran?

    Paquiao vs Hatton

I dont many 10 ten fighters would have survived that .

But also the very best wouldnt have been hit with that either.

DLH had a quality chin like. What about any of the current 154lbers?

Yeah, the only guy in the top 10 currently I would give even a slight chance of taking that shot would be Kotelnik. And even then it's no guarantee.

    Margarito would take it.
    Probably a 154 Mosley.

    Nvm, they aren't top 10.

Jackson-Graham, Tyson-Botha, Robinson-Fullmer 2.....all would probably KO, drop, or hurt nearly anyone. Though watching a tired LaMotta get the he'll kicked out of him in the last 3 rounds by Ray and stay on his feet makes me wonder how much damage you could do to him with a single shot. Even Hagler, another iron MW chin, was briefly stunned by that short Hearns right hand in the 1st round. And that wasn't Tommy's best punch, Hearns liked more distance and leverage on his right hands (Cuevas, Shuler, Duran).

Jake was tired and hit with everything in the book before he finally showed signs of being hurt.

The left hook/uppercut that Ibeabuchi clocked Byrd with would unsteady almost any of todays heavies IMO. I mean, maybe Vitali could take it and remain standing, but that's not for definete. Corrie Sanders had Vitali shook with a much less powerful looking shot than the one Ike fired off on Byrd.

The left hook Tua caught Ruiz with might also be the end for almost anyone in boxing.

    :good

Brings up some interesting debate and opinions though.

Seriously? That shot shook him to his boots. Granted, Duran took some punishment before it, but it was quite similar to the Pacquiao-Hatton KO in that Hatton took plenty of punishment before hand...but whether he got hit with that shot in the 1st, or the 12th round, he was going to be KO'd by it (IMO anyway).

You think Vitali stands up to it, or can come back from that shot?

Shavers on Holmes is bigger than any of the Heavyweight punches mentioned I reckon. Just hard to guess how well Vitali would take it.
