There are great boxers, great punchers 'n great technicians, but something sets-apart ATGs. Whatta you think it is?
off the top of my head, significant wins vs top guys of you era, number of title defenses, becoming undisputed champion,
being the best in their era/weight, i guess, not all ATG's finish on top like Lewis, Toney and RJJ are prime examples, and not all go undefeated like Marciano or Calzaghe
Will. Will to compete and win. And to test their own abilities versus that of others. Will to put in the enormous work it takes. To find a way to succeed in the face of adversity. They challenge themselves and their will to succeed sees them thru.
Beating everyone with ease except maybe that boxer that has the style to hive them a tough fight ex: Ali vs Norton, Pac vs Marquez, Mayweather vs Castillo
****ing daddy's boys. Roy Jones Jr, Roy Jones Sr Sugar Shane Mosley, Jack Mosley Muhammed Ali, Casssius Clay Sr Joe Calzaghe, Enzo Calzaghe Zab Judah, Yoel Floyd Jr, Floyd Sr plus a cousin Chris Byrd, Father Byrd etc
Probably if he fought decent competition early but I am not educated enough on his career. For modern era ATG'S the ability shines through early but you don't see alot of it until they start fighting better competition. Things like punch selection are readily apparent even against low tier fighters.
