What Really Happened To Amir Khan

BOXING champ Amir Khan was knocked to the ground and robbed outside a Birmingham bar because he was “showing off” and annoying spectators at a city concert, the man who struck the blows claims.

The allegation comes as police probe the posting of a sinister video on YouTube, in which a masked man threatens to “smash up” Khan if he ever sets foot in Birmingham again.

The former Welterweight world champion had a punch-up with five men as he left the Moon Shisha Lounge in Digbeth in the early hours of last Monday morning.

Trouble was said to have broken out when Khan and his fighter brother Haroon were set upon by a gang who were trying to steal the boxer’s £125,000 Range Rover.

Haroon later took to Twitter to boast how the boxing brothers had knocked them down like “skittles”.


But associates of the gang claim Amir Khan threw the first punch – and that nobody had tried to steal the fighter’s car.

They say the incident was a result of trouble which had begun on Sunday night at Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena, where Khan had a front row seat at a concert by ****stani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

An eye-witness said: “Amir Khan kept standing up and dancing, and getting in other people’s way throughout the concert. People complained to the security guards, who twice had to go over and tell him to calm down.

"Eventually, someone a couple of rows behind told him quite forcefully to sit down.”

The witness claims that, as the audience filed out, Khan pushed the complainant in the chest before security guards pulled the two men apart.

The pair confronted each other again at the Moon Lounge after Khan tweeted to fans that he was going to the popular shisha bar with family and friends.

“Khan was in a group of about 12 to 15 people, including his uncle and friends,” said a friend of the man who punched the boxer during the fight which later broke out.

“He was still being very boisterous and annoying in the bar.

“The man he confronted at the concert had picked up on his tweet and a few words were exchanged inside the bar before the man left with his four friends.

“The Birmingham man was driving a white Range Rover Sport – exactly the same car Amir Khan was driving that night.”

The pal claims that Khan mistakenly thought the men were trying to steal his car, and confronted them again.

“He told them to get away from his car,” said the friend. “But it wasn’t his car. They told him it was their car and that he’d got it wrong.

“That didn’t stop him. He tried to throw a punch which just grazed my friend. Amir was then knocked to the ground and the rest of the gang rifled through his pockets.”

The gang stole Khan’s Gucci bum-bag, a Louis Vitton wallet containing 500 Euros, flight tickets and a passport, as well as a set of keys for a Porsche sports car.

“Amir’s entourage came out to help him and there was a free-for-all punch-up,” said the pal. “It stopped when they heard police sirens.

“At that point the Birmingham man threw the passport and flight tickets at Amir’s uncle, who picked them up before fleeing with the rest of Khan’s entourage in three separate cars.”

The Sunday Mercury attempted to contact Amir Khan and his management, but they failed to return our e-mails.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “Police are investigating reports of an alleged criminal incident on Adelaide Street, Birmingham, at around 1.23am on Monday, October 8.

I find it hard to believe some tossers from Birm would have the exact same white Rover in front of there's where they then come and try to supposedly beat him up for acting like an idiot.

These guys have twisted their stories at least three times now. If they banged him up so bad, why didn't he have a scratch on him at the Press conf the next day? Low life mongs. Birmingham is such a **** hole.

 

How many people were invovled? Originally it was 6, then an article ive seen mentioned 5 and then 4names have been giving to the khan family.

 

i can smell the B.S but this is concrete evidence for special needs student aka IRONSENSE

 

1. Khan out at a shisha cafe, chilling.
2. Brummy bad-man (see my avatar) hears the famous Amir Khan is in town, and decides to provoke a fight to make a name for himself.
3. A brawl ensues after leaving the lounge.
4. Numerous stories then fly around of them beating each other up.

That's about it, really.

 

I don't really care who did or didn't win the fight but I am interested in if the claims of the supposed robbers about the contents of the bum bag!

Pretty sure he said they found acid in the bag??! I would be very surprised if Khan was into hallucinogens, you wouldn't have him down as a free party going acid head tripping his nuts off between fights would you?! Hardly anyone does that any more anyway it's not the sort of thing you'd really associate with boxers but if Khan has been munching the super hoffman's between fights maybe that explains why he keeps getting ironed out!

 

Khans glass chin is not well suited for brawling in the streets. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he actually was knocked down

 

When I read the bit about Khan showing off I started to believe this a bit more.

 

Yes he does was knocking them back in Dublin the other weekend what you should of said is "he says he doesn't drink" to satisfy his family.

 

Load of shite printed in a local paper. the guy probably phones them, told his story and they printed it without investigating both sides of the story.

Doesn't Khan have a personalized number plate? I think he would be able to tell which car was his. Plus Khans punch grazed the gang member?!! Im pretty sure a sober professional ex world champion would drop a pissed up lout like a bad habit had they started trading shots.

Didn't he get photographed with champagne and a wad of money once and then claimed it wasn't real money or real champers? What a clown
