    This is actually what got me into boxing, and it surely is right up there in all time robberies.

    How about Floyd Patterson vs Jimmy Ellis? It didn't break my heart - but Patterson battered Ellis throughout that fight and then the ref who was the sole judge awarded the fight to Ellis. Had he won the fight, Patterson would have been the first fighter to regain the heavyweight title twice! And this would have led up to a fight with Joe Frazier.

    Of course there are several other painful robberies over the years such as Whitaker/Chavez, De La Hoya/Trinidad, De la Hoya/Mosley II, and of course - Jose Luis Castillo/Mayweather I. I remember watching that fight and feeling so bad for Castillo because he had fought so hard and outworked Floyd the entire fight - only to lose the decision.

    Ramirez beat Sweat Pea in their first fight. Up until the Trinidad fight - that was Pernell's most decisive loss - although it is always considered controversial.

    :lol::lol:

    Very few robberies "broke my heart" per say but to this day, I still haven't figured out how the judges managed to declare Martinez-Cintron a draw. He was losing the fight earlier, got KO'd, got a second chance IN the same fight, lost the majority of the rounds down the stretch and then somehow squeezed out the draw.
