Golota beat the **** out of Bowe and he wasn't shot or past it, that's a lie.

Wlad's current championship reign is longer than Bowe's whole career.
Of the top 20 heavyweights of the 90s Bowe fought 2- Holyfield and Golota. He went life and death with the first one in a trilogy and got beat down by the latter forcing his retirement.

Not aware of Gramsey being involved in a ban bet, but am aware of Dino entering a ban bet and now not honouring it

    Sounds brutal.. but true :deal

People forget Bowe went life and death with a version of Holyfield who was

    a) beaten by former LHW glass-jawed Michael Moorer
    b) diagnosed with a serious heart condition that could have resulted in heart failure

That's who Bowe went life and death with. Not once, but three times :rofl

I like Wlad, but I do not feel he matches up well with Bowe at all - PRIME Bowe, which as McGrain pointed out was short, but exceptional while it lasted.

No idea why people are even bringing up the Golota fight. Bowe had already lost his drive for the sport years prior, after first winning the belt from Evander.

But that version of Bowe is a stylistic nightmare for Wladimir, IMHO.

    How is that? He has

    * no control of range, doesn't use his jab well
    * he tries to get inside with SMALLER FIGHTERS, showing he has very little ring IQ.
    * has a lazy jab that he doesn't utilize well, instead he relies on his right hand and on uppercuts

Stylistically, Bowe is tailor-made for Wlad. He doesn't fight well from the outside, he doesn't use his jab. Wlad can pepper him from the outside with little risk and whenever Bowe comes rushing in for the infight Wlad just ties him up.

Bowe would be a dangerous fight for Wlad due to his size, power and heart. He would be dangerous throughout even when getting his ass handed to him as proven in the 2nd Golota fight where he was beaten half to death yet was still able to drop Golota and break his jaw.

But Wlad has a lot of tools to beat Bowe. As Mad*****ter has outlined Bowe did not fight well from range despite his size and reach. He had very slow feet, he did his best when outfighting smaller men but he could be out boxed. Holyfield out boxed him in their rematch, Golota jabbed him into oblivion and even Hide for a few rounds danced circles around him. Bowe would struggle to find Wlad.

If Bowe wins, he comes from behind for the KO, no way he can out box Wlad. If Wlad fights a cautious fight he should win a decision but if he goes for the KO at any point he could come unstuck. Golota beat him badly yet Bowe dug deep a number of times to land big bombs and those could have stopped Wlad. But when does Wlad take a risk? Never these days a win on points for Wlad is more likely.

I didn't always think this but when you have been as dominant as Wlad has it means something. Even if Bowe does win, he no way wins the rematch. Bowe would never be able to stay in shape 2 fights in a row, his prime was shockingly short.

    Bingo!
Holyfield has given Bowe credit for his infighting skills and said thats why he was such a difficult beat.

Bowe inside of 5. Lennox would do it much the same way only he'd have more trouble getting away from the clutches of Wladimir.

That is what people are forgetting about Bowe he fought on the inside against smaller men you only do that if you are not skilled enough to use your height and range Againt smaller men.. The ugly truth is he avoided Lewis and looked bad against golota for a reason he can't fight tall and had trouble with people who could.

That's the way I see it, good inside game, iron jawed and brave. But unprofessional and not disciplined to box as a tall man should, and ultimately those 3 Holyfield fights ruined him. And Holyfield went on too have a great career, a former light heavyweight, who had many hard fights before bowe, has a gruelling war torn trilogy with the super heavyweight, and comes out of the other side to have a great career into his 40s. Big daddy gets beaten up twice because he didn't have a defence, by mental midget golota. Bowe had great natural talent and attributes but never learnt the craft like wladimir and Lewis. The two glass jawed fighters lewis and wlad, came back from ko losses to dominate once more. I don't even think manny steward would of bothered with bowe, he shamefully ducked lewis and seemed to me that he was a bully fighter. Did he ever beat a fighter that was his own size or not old. Atleast klitchko has beaten super heavy weights. Not By dq I mean.

I usually like and agree with your posts, but it almost sounds like you are justifying "tying up" as a legitimate means to victory and to avoid infighting. I think it is boring and disgraceful. Wlad should be disqualified when he starts pulling that **** as a tactic.

Bowe is just an overrated crackhead that was outboxed and knocked down twice by golota, wlad would demolish , simply destroy that bum bowe
