I don't see any reason to suggest Mikey will quite or not last the distance. In fact he has a very good chance of winning.
Mikey will never fight Loma, but for argument’s sake let’s say the same round Mikey quit against Salido: the ninth.
Mikey has shown potential quitters instincts against Salido....and during the times he failed making weight. So the OP's question is not without merit. Garcia has a puncher's chance and thats about it. He can short circuit any 135lber with a solid shot. Problem is that he's just far too slow and packing a skillset that's just made-to-order for Loma. i can see 9-0 and Robert Garcia sparing baby bro the shame of sending him out for the 10th.
Had to re-watch the Garcia vs Salido fight to see potential quits status. Broke nose after an accidental headbutt constitutes quit status? Not so sure. 4 KD's, Salido hurt 2 more times in the 5th and once more in the 7th. Mikey did slow way down in the 8th as Salido was coming on strong tho. Not ruling out an escape route, but Mikey doesn't seem the type especially after the Lipinets fight where I felt Mikey was stung more by him than Salido. Anyway - on to the subject at hand. I feel Loma has the tools to beat Garcia. If Garcia lunges with his left hook as he does often, Loma will tear him up. Garcia would need to keep that powerful right hand in Loma's face with precise timing for him to win. Really good fight. Garcia is so textbook and that 1, 2 is beautiful. Loma's only weakness is he's vulnerable to low blows as Salido exposed (that is a joke guys). Have to go with the bigger man here.
