The winner of SS will be FAR higher rated than Bute.

This is not Bute's fault, but just a consequence of him only having tough-men guys to beat on for the next year and a half.

Miranda, Andrade, Zuniga.. all hard-wrking, but not exactly technical wonders.

Bute - has noone - so obviously he cannot show how good he is. But he will have the chance once the SS is over.

I am a huge Bute fan, but we must be realistic.

I hate p4p but a fighter doesnt have to move weight to be p4p

p4p means if everyone in the world fought in the same division who would be no 1. You could be a career MW and still be considered the p4p best in the world.

Yeah I get you but (and this is not meat to be rude) as things stand just now the winner of the Super 6 will be consider the Man by everyone ( with the possible of the Canadian populace ) regardless of Butes status

and i dont see how beating (even knocking out) guys who are dropping out of the tournament changes that.

Bute wasnt the only champ entering the tourney so I dont know what conditions were so bad , everyone else realised what this format could do for the winner so decided to risk their own status and go for it. Bute didnt and I'm afraid he is suffering a little because of it.

All that said , he is young and will probably be peaking as the tourney finishes if Froch or Kess win he has guys on the downside of their careers ready to be taken and if its Ward or Dirrell he has a huge cross border match up with a yank so there are good sides to it too.

Man, I think you miss something and bias something else(excuse me).
How many group matches in US received Ward who was challenger :all. How many received the champions, Froch an Kessler(now ex):two. How many received the rest of three non belt holder:less than two. Now, I think you catch me: if they offered to Bute conditions of non-belt holder, to satisfy Ward for example, who was stupid to accept?

Now, the second part. You remain stuborn in something and please, it`s not personal: why victories, and even more convincing over the same opponents wouldn` be relevant? What, The Super 6 has the monopol over all SMW divisions or over the first winnings over some opponents? A victory is a victory.Period.And the tourney will be over and life will go on.A champion, even considered undisputed is now champion and maybe tomorrow won`t be anymore.

It`s exactly why they created the tourney: to induce an undisputed with only two of the four belts. But the funny thing is HBO and Bute say What is S6?

To see this clearer, please read my thread

The real aim of the S6.

I think I get you bro , I fear we will have to agree to disagree on this. yes there are other belts out there but those 6 guys are the best in the division ( of course with the exception of Bute ) so even if none of them happened to hold belts as it started the winner would still be in almost everyones eyes , the man. In fact I think I'm right in saying that if some weird results popped up the two finalist might not even be contesting the belts.

As for the victories thing Abraham leathered Taylor but it was off the back of Froch stopping him so it took something from Abrahams win ( just as Pavlik stopping Taylor reduced the worth of Frochs win )

Anyhoo, we're splitting hairs now !

Wait a minute: but if until the end of the tourney Bute meets and beats Direll and Froch and maybe other from the competition, even more convincing then finalists did (or at least one fight in this manner) and remain unbeaten?

It`s obvious your reasoning has a big flaw. So, until the end of the tourney BUTE COULD HAVE THE SAME RECORD AS THE FINALISTS AND EVEN BETTER REGARDING BOXERS INVOLVED IN S6.

WHO WOULD DECLARE THE WINNER OF S6 UNDISPUTED IN SMW IN THAT CONDITIONS?

    YOU TELL ME.

I agree something could be taken in the situation in what you`re the first who beats somebody but not enough to make you undisputed without facing the other probably unbeaten guy.

It`s not my only opinion, man, but but in that case ONLY A SMALL SUBJECTIVE MINORITY WOULD CONSIDER THE TOURNEY WINNER THE MAN, BEFORE THE NATURALLY SUPREMACY FIGHT.

Regarding the first victory:eek:nly Ward and Froch remained unbeaten at this hour. So, somebody took a big piece of glory of the futur winner already right?

Let me tell you something if Bute continues to look as amazing as he did his last to fight and gets on hbo regularly he will be the draw of that weight. Packing that much people and looking spectacular is a receipe for stardum!!!

And as far as Bute not being in the super 6, an unification was negociate with Froch that was not part of the tournement but he wanted to erase all doubts that Andrade created so he went ahead with the rematch. After that the super 6 was created and initiated by Sauerland promotion and the German never wanted bute in that tournement. They created it because they tough Abraham and Kessler would blow everyone out and take the us market. They sure didn't want bute in there!!!
