Whittaker?Look at his opponents compared to Mayweather.
De LaHoya was way past it when he fought Mayweather.
    Mosley was way washed up.
Pac that fight was 3/4 years too late.
Canelo? He's overrated and everyone knows it.
Guerrero?Berto? Mayweather had great wins at lightweight and jr lightweight. Whittaker had great wins in ALL the weight classes he fought.
He'll Whittaker beat De La Hoya YEARS before Mayweather-he just got robbed of the decision.

Mayweather fought smart. And prepared smart.
He's probably not going to end up brain damaged. He might end up broke, I don't know, I don't care. His finances are irrelevant to my life.

Basically, the Mayweather style is probably a good example for kids coming up. I don't like watching his fights, but it's more important to protect your brain. Even a idiot personality like Floyd needs to protect the brain.

People love Muhammad Ali and reminisce those glorious days of Zaire and Manila, but really the guy made a lot of mistakes that cost him. There's no glory is getting your head punched in, Parkinsonism or premature dementia, Alzheimers or all those things.
Not just Ali obviously, Frazier, Leon Spinks, Bowe, Toney ... punchy, the lot of them.
