What short (under 5'9") WWs would you favor over Hearns?

    Harold was a very good welter and his eye was damaged , I believe a detached retina as it retired him while he was still very good. I haven’t seen the fight in years but remember it as being a fight that exposed some early chinks in Hearns armor …. To what degree I’d have to rewatch as it was some forty plus years ago.

    "it was stopped"? Weston retired on his stool. How are we supposed to "consider what might've happened over 12 scheduled rounds" when 1 fighter is simply unwilling/unable to go past 6?

    It was a somewhat reckless/sloppy performance from a still developing hearns - he forced a (too) fast pace over 4 rnds, then got up on his toes & boxed over the last 2. On 1 hand, the fight underscored how raw he still was @the time, but it also gave an early indicator of his versatility & adaptability.

    Harry Greb, Mickey Walker, Sam Langford...there are few I will because Hearns questionable chin and durability.
