Resumes don't win fights, Boots can only beat who's in front. He's currently on track to beat the best guys available at welterweight right now. Boots can fight at all ranges, he is complete fighter just like Sugar Ray. 2nd coming of Sugar Ray Leonard is upon us. When boots clears 147 he goes up, smashes up Ortiz, tailor made, decision Bakhram, KOs Fundora. Boots wasn't even top 10 back then, stop bringing that nothing burger up, he was mandatory afterwards and the chance was there, Crawford got stripped for moving up instead. It is what it is.

Boots will carve his own legacy with 3x undisputed at 147, 154, 160. You people can't comprehend atg talent until the feats have already been accomplished. Boots vs Janibek is a future super fight, u call me crazy until it happens and I will laugh at all of u

Exactly this, there isn't a snowballs chance in hell that Barrios or Norman is getting in the ring with Ennis.

and honestly, who cares? Barrios would be absolutely murdered and Norman i just think is too small and Ennis would take away his one weapon - the hook.

    154 or bust.

Funny how y'all hold him to a different standard than so many other fighters. I've seen, even on this site, names like Loma, Haney, Charlo, even Spence who got all 3 of his titles in three different bouts. None via an email.......I've seen them all be discredited when their names went on a p4p list. Ennis beat A CHAMPION....his other title was gifted to him because the title holder was stripped of it a month after winning it in the ring all because that fighter was legally bound to a contract (rematch clause) and couldn't negotiate a fight with anyone other than the fighter who exercised the clause.

    Back to my actual post.

First of all, I never said that it was a meaningless win. If you are going to start a debate, the least you could do is combat what I actually said. i simply pointed out that he is fighting much smaller opponents. Something I been saying since he first turned pro. Something the even he and his camp has pointed out and even bragged about. Being 'bigger' and 'stronger' than everyone in the division.

And simply becoming a unified champion is not the means for being p4p. There are multiple champions who were unified in their careers and never made anyone's p4p list. POUND FOR POUND..... Fans use that term way too loosely. How can someone state they are POUND FOR POUND better than everyone else in the sport when they have a resume full of opponents who were clear underdogs due to skill set AND size. It's not his fault but all of the accomplished welterweights have moved on either through retirement or moved to a different division. He's FINALLY face a current champion in which, again, he got hit a lot more than he should have if he's going to claim to be better than the elites. Stanionis didn't do anything tricky. He simply popped him with the same shot repeatedly. Had he been equal in size, the outcome could have been much different.

Stop acting like Stanionis's clean punches had zero effect on Ennis. No it didn't put him down, but as a fighter, I can tell when a certain punch is effective and we saw Ennis try to adjust and avoid the punch, body language and approach tells fighters/coaches everything.

I was wondering when this dumb comment was going to make it's way to the board.

Bud didn't duck that boy. Boots was actually offered the Bud fight twice and both times it was Boots camp who turned it down. They claimed "loyalty" to Showtime to turn it down the first time. The second time, they felt trying to fight Spence was more profitable.

Boots fans are the clowns who keep pushing that B.S. yet they go hiding when the reality is brought to their doorstep. The video is documented. Go to YouTube. Bozy confirmed that they chose not to accept the offer. But I bet you got an excuse for that.

Crawford had nothing to gain by fighting a dude who had done nothing but build his career up on opponents who were well below .500 in the win column and then claiming the entire division is avoiding him.

Y'all need a new hit song.... That record is played out.

Become undisputed at 147, then make the superfight with Vergil Ortiz

Also, beat up Teofemale Lopez on the side if he wants to cash in on that Turki money

He's in a pretty good place to try and go for undisputed right now. The WBA are pretty lax with mandatories for the most part, hell lately they take the mere suggestion of it as an opportunity to crown an interim champion, and the IBF have reordered Crocker-Donovan thanks to the controversy of that fight, so they wouldn't stand in the way of any initial unification at least. Norman would be my ideal choice since he just came off of a defense himself so the schedules line up pretty good and I think it'd be the better fight, but if he goes for Sasaki then Barrios would be fine. If he can't get either though then I'd hope he'd move up since the bulk of interesting fights for him are there. All of the champions and Interim champions of course, but I'd love to see him in with Tszyu or Conwell.

Woulda, coulda , should are …. Blah blah blah the bottom line is he stopped an undefeated reigning world champion in style in the division he is competing in. It’s irrelevant whether the guys he is fighting are naturally bigger or smaller men. There is no weight in boxing called fighting your natural weight. All you have to do is follow the rules and make the division weight at the weigh in then we have a fight. Ennis wants to win all the belts at 147 before moving up the divisions.

See, you must be one of those public school struggling students who hated comprehension activities. He said there was nothing to gain from it now so he's not interested in the match up. No where did he say "he don't want none of it"......His most recent interview when he discussed possibly moving back down to 154lbs after the Canelo fight, he said verbatim, that if Boots was to move up then it's a possibility. It's not hard to comprehend why the match up is soooooo important to you Boots fans. Y'all need some way to solidify him in the sport, but y'all refuse to admit he built his career on mfers like Lionel Jimenez who was 3-18-1, or Robert Hill who was 6-32-1, or Samuel Amako who was 23-17..... Of course he looks other worldly against that type of competition. Most of those dudes worked 9 to 5 jobs.

Of course us boxing fans would love to see it though, based on his resume and his last few fights, I don't think he competes as well as you think vs Crawford. But it would be a fun fight to watch.

Your response again is meaning according to what I said. I pointed out the double standard. I also expressed that nothing he's done makes him top p4p material as of yet. Gave the facts that many have done more and didn't make the list. You came back with this rebuttal.....lol.

You aren't even trying to use your comprehension. You are simply looking for an argument. And you are doing it with nonsense.....

In a perfect world I would have Norman vs Barrios for their unification and Ennis vs Sasaki, winners fight each other.

I guess we are getting Norman vs Sasaki and Ennis vs unknown currently. I guess Ennis wiping the floor with Barrios would with him fighting the winner of Norman vs Sasaki would be the second best scenario, followed up with him going to 154.

Dream scenario 140 and 154 get abolished and we consolidate the fighters into 147 and 160 as appropriate
