I am making a point that he is becoming a contender for P4P based on his performances and the fact he became unified Welterweight champion in style on Saturday adds to that. He absolutely dominated a tough guy and undefeated champion in Stannionis and displays fantastic skills. I like watching him and want to see more of him.

I would also add Stanionis is a high level fighter and champion and Boots Ennis is one of these fighters who is good at everything. To me he beats Vergil Ortiz. Hopefully the fight gets made next year.

If this is the point you are making then why does it seem like you are trying to debate. I stated in the original comment that this is a respectable win. Stanionis is a world class competitor. Undefeated champ. Me pointing out that he was significantly smaller doesn't take that fact away. Nor was I trying to do so.

But the reality is......Stanionis was "supposed to lose"..... Due to the size comparison, skillset, etc...that were disadvantages. Reality is that this is Jaron Ennis's first big win. But it's not vs a top p4p name so Eddie Hearns stating that this solidifies him as a p4p fighter sounds silly, being that this is the first current champion he faced.

You say he dominated Stanionis..... He got hit A LOT and a lot of his flashy and speedy punches were blocked. So, again, that is hilarious to me because clearly there were a lot of missteps in those rounds where we saw Stanionis having success. He actually had more success vs Ennis than Madrimov had vs Crawford, but on one hand people claim Crawford had a close fight, while Ennis 'dominated'?.........lol. Neither fight was close to me. The clear winners were obvious, but how do you say one dominated and the other did not when they both were well in control of the action from the opening bell.

Now I'm not saying that Stanionis didn't get broken down over the course of those, what, 6 rounds. Stanionis was silly to try and sit in the pocket vs Boots. But the reality is, Stanionis is a much smaller opponent and predictably not as strong vs Ennis who will probably go up 2 or 3 division over the course of his career.

Ennis did what he was supposed to do. If that, to you, is 'creeping on to the p4p list' then there are an abundance of other fighters who deserve the same praise. Sebastian Fundora..... Janibek Alimkhanuly....... what about Kenshiro Teraji.....those 3 names have done more and no one is campaigning for them to be on the p4p list. They are as much or more deserving than Boots of being mentioned of that manner based on....accomplishments. But Jaron is charismatic in the ring so, this one fight solidifies him as boxing elite to y'all.

Should've happened at 147. Hopefully Clenelo gets taken to slick school by Scull even though he's a dosser and Turki steps in and we can see it at 154 later this year

Fingers crossed Sasaki goes full Takeshi Kitano on Norman's ass and chops him up like sushi. Realistically, I don't see how Super Boots can become undisputed because the other champs aren't going to want that smoke at all.

Respect to Karen he not only fought him twice on his soil but he fought him twice as hard in the rematch and gave him everything he could handle

Your reference to the size of Stanionis is a non point because they are both Welterweight. Sugar Ray Leonard stopped Hearns who was bigger, stronger ,hit harder and was even the better and faster by sheer grit and will power. If you are good enough you find away to win.

You are the one debating. I have been watching Ennis for a while now and he looks to me like someone heading into P4P ranking whereas Fundora does not.

That is an ignorant statement. Size if far from a "non point" (I'm guessing you meant 'mute point'). Size and measures is always a factor thus the reason it's always displayed in the TALE OF THE TAPE. Damn do you know anything about boxing?

And if you are going to bring up history.....I'm going to need you to get the facts right. Hearns was not 'bigger' than Hagler. He was longer and taller. Hearns moved up from welterweight/super welterweight to fight Hagler who had spend his entire career at middleweight. That was Hearns first fight in that division. He even went back down to 154lbs for a fight before jumping back up to middle and light heavy to win a world title. I don't have time to explain measures and the options you have with packing muscle onto a specific frame. I'm sure you probably wouldn't comprehend it anyway because you are simply looking to argue......I'll simplify it and watch you ignore the facts simply because you are a Man Fan instead of a Boxing Fan.....lol..

Just because they both are in the same division doesn't mean they both are the same size. It's a matter of how much water weight one can take off without being drained and/or how much muscle one can pack on to their frame without causing themselves to be too stiff, etc.....Last time I ran into Shawn Porter, he was around 200lbs. He was still his 5'7 or 5'8 self......He competed at 147/54 during his pro career. Had a couple fights as a middleweight in the amateurs. Crawford stopped him. A man who was naturally bigger than Crawford. Yet, last year Crawford moved up to fight Madrimov who walks around about the same weight and everyone acted like Crawford had never faced a bigger opponent. As if Jeff Horn, Kell Brook, Jose Benavidez, even Felix Diaz who entered the ring on fight night at 162lbs vs Crawford back when Crawford was competing at 140lbs.

Ennis and Stanionis didn't have same day weigh ins..... If you knew anything about boxing, you'd know that this is sort of an advantage to the larger competitor because they can blow up more than 20lbs if they wanted. If it wasn't an advantage, you would see fighters like Tank Davis, who is the self proclaimed face of boxing, put in his contract vs certain fighters that they can not hydrate more than 10lbs after the weigh ins. Rolly Romero and Ryan Garcia are the most recent examples. Rolly even talked about how drained he felt vs Tank. Canelo had the same clause in his contract vs Bivol and Kovalev. Look at the issues that Fury presented to Wilder in the second fight that he didn't showcase in the first. Fury was 40lbs heavier. Used his weight in the clinch as he leaned on Wilder and eventually wore him down. I can give you multiple examples where WEIGHT is definitely a factor in the ring vs 2 fighters who are in the same division to showcase how ignorant you comment was. But again, I highly doubt you are trying to speak on facts because,.......Jaron Boots Ennis is God to you....lol.

I've followed Ennis since the amateurs. I was present for many of his big wins and even a couple losses, like the one vs Gary Antuane Russell Jr.......I am not arguing that he could very well be headed for p4p status. My comment was in regards to Eddie Hearns claiming that this fight vs Stanionis solidifies that HE IS a p4p fighter currently. I've stated this in my original comment if you actually care to READ what I said and understand it rather than trying to bring up these goofy points that I'm not disputing.

You really could pick an argument in an empty room.

If you want to make cogent points then move away from essay style writing.

I did not comment about the size of Hearn’s in reference to Hagler rather I commented on it in reference to Sugar Ray Leonard but I guess that went over your head.

Size does not win fights skills does otherwise Canelo would have beaten Floyd instead of Floyd outclassing him. I know more about boxing than you have irrespective of whether you and Showtime Shawn Porter are friends. Incidentally how are his preparations for Ray “Forklift” Jackson going for the 17 of May?

Ennis is not a god to me. All I have said is that mother****a can fight based on his excellent skills set and I favour him over Vergil Ortiz.

As for P4P status I did not say he was the best P4P rather I said he is on his way which is what unification is helping him move towards. Keep misreading if you will that is up to your imagination and intellect level.

You are seriously trying too hard.

I'm not sorry that too many words shake you up. You don't like the "essay", then stop reading and go play with your Legos or Barbies....whatever your choice is.

You seem to be intimidated for whatever reason. No where did I suggest I was friends with Shawn Porter. I don't know him that well to call him a friend. We have mutual acquaintances as I've been involved with this sport for damn near 4 decades. Though I don't compete anymore I remain a fan of the sport, thus the name.

I actually just looked at your username and now I remember the goofy conversation you had with me previously. A man who claims to know more about the sport, yet say some of the dumbest and illogical things regarding it. I see from the distance in time from our last conversation, your IQ or simple logic didn't advance so it's my fault for giving you more attention after I realized your lack of logic from our previous encounter.

So like the last conversation, I'll leave you to have the last word, because I'm sure you will feel good about it.. I'll direct my attention to an actual adult on this site.

As a fan I want him to move up to 154 but the smartest thing for him to do is stay at 147 and make a name for himself

If I was a manager I'd tell him to take over 147 then move up to 154 when the time is right

Typically you cannot deal with substance so you derail and try to divert because of your basic lack of intelligence.

    Enjoy viewing adult sites perv.

Forreal forreal his next fight should be Barrios or Norman. He deserves the chance to become undisputed and should not be pressed into moving up until he's at least had the chance to do so. With that being said, I actually think Barrios would fight him (will his team allow that is the question), Norman doesn't want the fight and that much is clear.................also it should be stated, Norman's next fight is actually kinda dangerous so he might slip up anyway. A gunslinger he could get rid of but that could also clip him. I don't think his team vetted that choice very well.

But again...............Boots next two fights should be for the other 2 titles.

He's literally only 27, there is no reason to rush him to climbing weight classes, he's really not even in his prime yet (he doesn't even fight mature yet).

Your mind went to adult sites because I won't continue to give you attention. You are pathetic, emotional, and illiterate.......lol. Overall a pointless human being and worthless to society.

Edit: My bad, I wasn't suppose to take the last words from you. I understand this is the only platform for you to attempt to make yourself relevant. Go ahead and say something else stupid. I promise I'll let you walk off into the sunset with it........I'll even play some theme music for you.....lol. Please try to be creative. We are all counting on you.........(that's called encouragement......see I can be positive.....lol)

In the UK Public Schools(That means Private Schools) is where we the elites attended. Now I know not everyone can be privileged and come from Aristocratic bearing but I like to think I don’t look down on the common man like you. It’s not where you come from sweetie that counts it’s where you are going that matters. Good luck my boy and remember to strive because one day you shall be a man my son.
