I don't see anything out there domesticly for Clev. Maybe one more defense agaisnt the guys who won prizefighter. Braemer the european champ has fought for world titles before, that my be a step to fast.

I think maybe a few guys that Tarver, Jones, Johnson, Dawson has beat a few years ago would be decent like a Montel Griffin.

Brook is in a simular position. Jennings would be a big fight, O'Donnell fight wont happen cos hes with Hennesey. Maybe a Watson fight?

After that there is nothing much at Euro level.

Hopefully both will get world title shots next year, I just hope the deserve them.

Brook has won a Lonsdale outright, only beating a single top 5 147lb'er (McIntyre).

He needs to go in with a guy that can take a good punch.

Clev should defend his lonsdale to win it outright by then he should of graduated and can start to look to European and World level Autumn next year.
As for Kell Brook he needs Euro level now as far as im concerned, hes ready for someone like Petrucci IMHO

Either way UK boxing looks in very good hands with this pair of potential world beaters also i really like the look of young Billy Joe Saunders.

Kell is world class it's taht simple..

Cleverly is good but McIntosh was just not upto the job and never was last night, The Oakey fight was a good measuring stick!! I personally feel he get's drawn into wars, There are some serious punchers at this weight so it'll be interesting to see were he goes from here..I'll be watching with keen intrest and am willing to accomodate him asap..:good

Would you fancy McIntosh for the English?

I don't think there is much between European and World Class in the division, msot of the top euros have had titles shot or our world champs.

I wouldn't stick Brook in with any of the top 10 at the minute - he still leaves his chin hanging in the air.

Cleverly did a decent job on McIntosh I agree, but the discouraging sign was that he was dragged into a brawl by a much lesser fighter - that said, if you keep racking up the stoppage wins there isn't a great deal to be said.

I think Brook should get as many domestic names on his record as he can right now like Jennings (who said he'd love to fight him) or even Mathew Hatton depending on how he does against Zab Judah.... although I'm not sure, because Warren would want options on Hatton if he won (which I highly doubt he would) and that's assuing Hatton either beats Judah or puts up a fighting effort against him.... maybe going to points?
I think after that maybe the Euro title for Brook and then someone like Collazo or Quintanta possibly? I think he'll be ready for a world title by then. How about him stepping down in weight even? He could meet Khan?.... and I don't dislike Khan but if Brook makes light welter like he says he could then I'll put my money on Brook.

As for Cleverly, who impresses me more each time I see him.... he needs to fight for the Euro belt next and then defend it once or twice and I think he'll be ready for someone like (as mentioned above) Tarver, Jones or how about Woods? as I doubt Woods is going to beat Cloud, which would be a great domestic fight wouldn't it?
I think he'll be ready for anyone after that Pascal, Dawson.... anyone, just as long as he keeps getting better.... I just see him going all the way now.

See the BBBoC Notices on their site. O,Donnell is mandatory challenger for the winner of Brook v Lomax. Purse bids to be in by 12 noon 21st July, fight to take place before end of November 2009.

Griffin or Byron Mitchell are a good bet. THey recently lost to that Kazhakstani sensation (can't spell)

HE is the next big thing (can't remember his name at the moment mind!)

I dont rate Cleverly one bit, the only decent fighter he has fought is Oakey, the two guys he defended his Commonwealth belt against where terrible, and McIntosh is very limited. Although I think he would outbox Bellew for the first few rounds I would be very confident of Bellew stopping him in around 8/9 rounds.

Brooke is very good and ready to move on.
