I had him beating Muniga, Golovkin, Jacobs, Charlo, and the Adames fight a draw. So in my opinion his record should be..... 18-0-1
Jermall Charlo is the only one who beat Sergiy Derevyanchenko the most convincingly IMO. His record would certainly look much better with fair judges though.
Not really, that should've been a draw or a point in either direction, it was far far closer than people perceived it to be.
I had him beating Jacobs, Munguia, Adames and Charlo with Golovkin winning by a point, so I'd have no issue with Sergiy taking that one as well.
I'll have to rewatch the fight but from what I recall Charlo had hurt SD more often. It was SD's workrate against Charlo's sharper punches. I had it 7-5 Charlo.
I had it.... Round 1 Charlo 10-9 Round 2 Derevyanchenko 10-9 Round 3 Charlo 10-9 Round 4 Derevyanchenko 10-9 Round 5 Derevyanchenko 10-9 Round 6 Derevyanchenko 10-9 Round 7 Charlo 10-9, close Round 8 Derevyanchenko 10-9 Round 9 Charlo 10-9 Round 10 Derevyanchenko 10-9 Round 11 Derevyanchenko 10-9 Round 12 Derevyanchenko 10-9 116-112 Derevyanchenko
I might have to re-watch it, thought Charlo clearly won, was his best performance imo besides maybe J-Rock.
I heard Jermallo schooled SD. That's not the fight I saw though. But then again I know how insanely biased the PBC commentators are and how equally corrupt their judges are. Don't get me wrong, every network has biased commentators and robberies and corruption are a worldwide disease. But the PBC judges take it to another level. I mean they literally won't even give you a round or they'll give you one or two at most in fights you won or were razor-close One of them had this 119-108 for Jermallo This content is protected
I didn't see the Adames fight, but I thought he beat Munguia and lost to GGG. In my opinion, people misremember the GGG fight because that was the first time we saw GGG hurt. Fights are scored RBR and you have to find 7 rounds to give Sergiy (he was knocked down) for him to win. I remember thinking RBR the fight was 7-5 or 6-6 for GGG. Sergiy won some of his rounds more convincingly though. I only watched the Munguia fight live. I had it 114-113 Sergiy but it was a close fight. That 12th round really saved Munguia but we all knew he wasn't in danger of losing on the cards because he is a very protected fighter. The guy has 42 fights with only 2 worthy opponents and should have lost to Hogan.
