    # 1 Not fight anyone untill he takes Pavlik later in the year?
    # 2 Fight a top middleweight to prove is worthy of a shot, guys like Randy Griffin, Marco Antonio Rubio or Gary Lockett?
    # 3 Fight very low level club fighters untill he gets his big shot

Let's be honest he has debatable decisions against campos, eastman and smichet.

He's also too easy to hit, no head movement and looks easy to cut. Lockett would KO him if they ever fought and as for fighting Pavlik...FORGET ABOUT IT

so i take it you havent watched any of the fights then, campas was a tough close fight but duddy won on most peoples cards by 2 rounds, the only thing controversial about the eastman fight was how close the ref scored it and the smichet fight he fought a good fight for 3/4s of it on way to a solid decision, yes he cuts but it doesnt make too much difference to his fight, lockett aint got no chance at koing duddy(thats how i know you havent watched him fight because pavliks the only man powerful enough in the mw division to ko duddy) duddy schools lockett on the outside on the way to a solid but close UD.

duddy should step up and fight a griffin type fighter,if he passes that test put him with pavlik, even someone like asikanen or sylvester would do.

ive seen all 3 of those fights...none were clear cut....and he definitely lost to eastman, only won cos it was in ireland....and look at his face after his last fight and tell me he won??!

he's a decent fighter but no way is he world class..no way...and lockett hits harder than duddy and has more skills.....duddy hasnt got enough tools to school anybody on the ourside.....heck he was like 6 inches taller than that last dude he fought and couldnt keep him on the outside!

dont believe the hype. world class fighters dont struggle like that in 10 rounders against journeymen

mate,i think you should go back and watch the eastman fight,no way he lost that fight,it wasnt until rounds 8 and 9 that eastman actually bagan to find some range, before that it was duddy duddy duddy controlling the action.

Youre gonna say that cos youre a duddy fan!! He only got the decision by 2 points and if that fight was in England its a draw or a duddy loss im afraid.

In fact, Eastman has more chance over Pavlik than Duddy ever will

Where is this myth that he lost the last fight?

I want to see him in with Lockett, to shut one or the other up.

no way on earth did he win by 6 rounds like 2 judges said though.....it was certainly a debatable decison....just cos duddy kept coming forward more relentlessly didnt mean he won easily....

The 95-95 score was certainly more realistic than 98-92 thats for certain

Lockett vs Duddy would be a very good fight. Before his recent debacle I would have chosen Duddy to win but now im less certain. The lad is good and has alot of guts but he is not a top standard performer.

I would like to see him fight in Britain again and if not against Lockett then maybe Elcock or Smith. He has the beating of both but at the present time a Pavlik fight would be a complete waste.

Elcock? He would probably school that limited Irish fighter who was struggling with a slow and one-dimensional Canadien based Arab no-hoper on the undercard of Wlad vs Sultan.
Duddy is a big hype job.He doesnt even seem to master the fundamentals of his chosen profesion.

duddy has never pretended to be a world beater, after his fight agains smichet he conceded that in no shape or form is he ready for a fight with pavlik, but come on,he can have an off night,in the second half of the fight he was quite good, dominating the action and actually boxing,if he fought the way he did there he would definatly have the beating of both elcock and lockett,to come on here and criticise him for a 'debatable' decision is crazy,he came in with the wrong gameplan, switched it and went on to dominate proceedings.

Duddy should land a fight with Pavlik ASAFP!!

If he is forced to take a 'keep busy' fight, he should have his handlers stake out potential opponents outside of a rehab center to ensure he doesn't lose the "0" on his record.

Duddy needs to cash out with a huge payday before it's too late.

He's lucky to have escaped with victory on Saturday!

I scored the bout a draw. To his credit, I thought Duddy did enough to win 5 of the final 6 rounds, but the two judges who scored it 98-92 in favor of Duddy should never be allowed to judge a fight ever again!

    What a disgrace!

I was at the Smichet fight and it most certainly WAS debatatble!

At best, Duddy deserved a draw--at BEST!

He looked like a complete amateur, and Smichet is hardly a world-beater.

So I'm an idiot for giving the first four rounds to Smichet who repeatedly tagged Duddy flush with monster shots while Duddy had NO response?

I scored it a draw, giving Duddy 5 of the last 6 rounds, but this had more to do with Smichet FADING than it did with Duddy making any kind of adjustments.

Duddy is not an elite fighter.

I would pick 22 year old "Mean" Joe Greene to humiliate Duddy, either by lop-sided decision or late stoppage.

Even at his young age, Greene is MUCH better than the very limited, very mediocre John Duddy.
