Options are - 1. Fight the best prime opponents available. 2. Avoid the best prime opponents and instead easily beat up fat unfit fortysomething opponents on losing streaks or who have done nothing, such as James Toney, Eubank and Steve Collins. 3. Relinquish his IBF title, win the very minor IBO title and then face a string of unknown weak bums for the next ten years so that he can beat Calzaghe's SMW defence record? 4. retire now, he has nothing left to prove.
If he beasts Hopkins by way of KO or something like that, it would improve his legacy way more than traveling to Jokeland and fighting Ward.
Continue to take on the best and see what happens. I'd be nothing short of shocked if it played out this way, but if he got revenge over Ward, beat Kessler again, and moved up to light heavyweight and beat Hopkins and whoever holds the Ring belt at the time, he'd stamp himself in history as a great fighter.
Froch needs to knock SOB out, then he would be on top of the world, but SOB Ward will only fight in his home town, with his own personal referee, judges, and commentators to tell you who is winning the fight. SOB is the only one who did not have to travel, the "ONLY" one! Ward beat Kessler with headbutts, elbows, holding, and finally with the huge billy goat head butt from across the ring. Ward won the fight with an intentional illegal headbutt and his personal referee was there to approve................
beat ward then kessler for the second time. knock out dirrell to prove he's the better fighter. then beat groves and degale.
Got an agenda much.... ? Choose one answer from the list below:- a B! c Why don't you just make your point already?
In terms of legacy, he HAS to fight Ward. Otherwise everyone will contimue to see him as No.2 in the division, with a big loss alwasy hanging over him.
seems like Ward won't fight him in the UK and I don't expect a third Kessler fight next he has still some good options George Groves, unification with the Bika vs Periban winner, James DeGale (if DeGale beats Bozic), Rodriguez vs Gravchev winner, Cleverly, Stevenson vs Dawson winner, Tony Bellew
