Spend been less time posting fruity looking pictures on Instagram with his fellow bears, and get in the goddamn ring, preferably not against a southpaw.
Inactivity and injuries are what have scuppered his career, not lacking the size or skills to compete at HW. He looked a tentative, slow, shuffly shadow of himself against Wallin compared to the bodyshot ripping, fast and vicious CW of old. He's clearly very diminished even at a relatively young age. I'm not sure if he has anymore success at CW now than he does at HW or BW or whatever weight he competes at.
One of his recent instagram posts. It´s in Russian tho. This content is protected *it was posted like two months ago. And he still regularly posts stories of him working out in the gym.
And grow a proper beard without two big square chunks out of it. Or if he can't grow hair there for some reason, just shave the whole damn thing. I dunno why it bothers me so much, I've seen people with way dumber looking styles, but Christ does it ever. Man looks like he started to shave and then had to abruptly leave cause the house was on fire or something. Jokes aside, yeah, any sort of activity would be better than nothing. I think he'd have more success at cruiser, plenty of fights there where he'd be the favorite to anybody with any sort of know how about boxing. Hell, I'd even back him against most of the title holders at the moment.
That's long been a pet peeve of mine as well, especially out of Keanu Reeves, whose patchy beard is goddamn hideous.
That would be an excellent fight. I'd like to see him reacclimate to the weight division first though, since Opetaia is easily the top guy at the moment. Gassiev is young enough that he can take a tune up or two to get used to it again, provided the usual wait time between bouts is a bit shorter for him than it has been lately, but even if he wanted to rush back into title contention a couple of the other belt holders are beatable even as return fights.
Jai exists, Gassiev going back down would be a mistake. He also couldn't beat Wallin. There isn't much else to do except hope for the best against another top contender like Kabayel or be on standby. Bridgerweight shouldn't even be mentioned
Michael Hunter for the prestigious WBA interim 'former Cruiser who lost to Usyk and has been inactive for a long period' belt.
