But we can't make Canelo do it and he has wasted everyone's time. As someone else stated better for all of us if he vacated the night he won it.

It's a shame that Golovkin/Canelo couldn't be made. If Canelo and his team really wanted the fight they could have just asked for an extension while they negotiated the fight, it's been done before and if the WBC believed he was sincere would have likely allowed it. It's been clear for a long time nobody with the WBC belt has wanted to go near Golovkin.

BJS would be the next logical step, there's plenty of money in the UK market and it would see GGG become the undisputed and unified champion. After that move up and wreck the super middles.

He should go on with the Alvarez fight until they finalize Lemieux ot Stevens, then go after BJS

Still has to break bhops record, that's important. Ko streak, not do much but defense record will be history for a very long, very long time. If ever matched again

I would actually prefer a fight against Eubank Jr. The Eubank camp seem right up for it and it will help GGG gain more fans in the growing UK market. After GGG wins he has a unification against Saunders, which could be a very big fight.

He should mow his lawn and clean his car.

If he gets chance, he should clean his windows too.

Then, clean his new belt, when he gets it of course.

Yeah this is what I’m wondering too, why didn’t Canelo and his team just ask for an extension. My guess is there’s more to this story than just getting an extension. It could have something to do with how the WBC has treated Canelo and Canelo just not being comfortable dealing with that organization and holding that title anymore. It could have very little to do with actually fighting GGG and is more about corrupt boxing politics.

Ginger is irrelevant now, Jacobs next then move up. Canelo can go hang out in JCC Jr's living room and eat cornflakes

You’re delusional. Canelo is more relevant than ever. The amount of backlash / reaction to this news is unprecedented. Everyone will be talking about this today, and seeing how GG responds if he wants to make this fight.

GGG Alvarev isnt happening anytime soon.

GGG is gonna step up in weight and that is in NO WAY a duck

Saunders or Jacobs would be favourites at the minute.

I just hope he doesnt get caught up negotiating with Alvarez and ends up only fight twice this year. I think he should just move on. That fight will happen when it happens.

I voted Canelo but I also feel that since Canelo dropped the belt so he could have more leverage in negotiation, that GGG should just fight BJS and unify.

Yeah, I'm all for GGG focusing on BJS and Jacobs, assuming they will agree to fight. Based on GBP's long-term cash-cow plan for Alvarez, this fight will happen maybe next year.
