I don;t want them to go head up with the Pac-Mosley fight that's not good for the sport. Pac-Mosley should have its own night to shine without the threat of rival cards.

Yeah, but now it's like declaring a war on a guy who just pulled out a shotgun. Bad idea. They shouldn't try to rival this date.

But not more of a loss then Bob Arum and Company. HBO's budget is already set for the year so what type of loss would they take if they did a poor rating?

You know what really started the war. HBO going against the Cotto- Mayorga PPV. It's something they have done already.

Pac will shine regardless. The Super6 should not have been countered either. that was really bad for the sport if you think that way. But HBO don't give a ****. So it wouldn't surprise me if they did.

Probably just add up to future repercussions. TV Execs cannot be programming show after show that produce low ratings. And HBO's already been doing that. Jobs get lost over **** like this. And rightfully so.

Where it could hurt is also the boxer involved. If they did counter, had terrible ratings, who takes the fall first? Most likely the boxer's involved. Would be a strike against them and future fights.

If they go to top it, they've got to do something that would be a bigger surprise and freak show.

    I say Wlad v Vitaly.

As a boxing fan I hope HBO dose not try to counter program Pacquiao/Mosley. However if I was HBO I would be trying to counter it with the best fight possible. I would try to get Mayweather to commit to that date against the Bradley/Alexander winner.

HBO are seriously on the nose with the Klitschkos who are now on record as saying they would prefer to fight on Showtime!

Solid fight but not one that would grab the public's attention bearing in mind Berto has a fanbase of about 7 people! Peter Manfredo brings more to the table than Berto!

That would be awesome to have 24/7 on TBS or TNT.

Hauser has his motives but remember in 1991 Don King had a falling out with Seth Abraham and HBO for similar reasons. He took with him Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar Chavez to Showtime. He later grabbed Evander Holyfield in 1996 and moved him to Showtime. HBO survived but Showtime became a player.

Yes I remember, then Showtime had quality control issues with Don. Fabrice Tizzo and Calzahge mis-matches all the time.

Berto has a solid 11 fans in Winter Haven Florida. And the focus would be on Saul Alverez seeing how it is Mexican independance weekend.

yea and the last time he fought in Winter Haven, he sold less than 1000 tickets. And that was a charity event for Haiti. No fan base coming from Berto, it'd be mexicans watching Alvarez fighting for his first title.
