Myt care isn't about HBO. What I am on about is for the great good of boxing, not trying to get revenge on one night. If HBO has the money to spend, why not THE NEXT WEEKEND when more people will tune in. It's not like we have boxing every weekend anyway. So why double up when one will be watched by MUCH LESS then what it could id one week later?

Same here! And I remember that. Was f*ckin great! But sadly, that's the exception. Rarely do competing cards produce. Rarely.

Marquez vs. any quality opponent for free on HBO would be enough for me to not buy a Pacquiao-Mosley Showtime PPV. :good

I would love to see JMM-Maidana the most. I bet JMM gets FOTY 3 years in a row if this fight happens.

Otherwise loser of Bradley-Alexander might not be bad since the winner matches Khan.

And there it is! The whole point of this thread. Marquez vs. anyone on HBO World Championship Boxing. HBO has almost 30 Million viewers, SHO-PPV may do a Million buys. How many viewers will watch HBO?

I guess that means 29 million. :D Actually, no one can asnwer that.

But I can tell you this much, it would be less then the number who would watch it if it was a week later not competing against anything huge.

    Yeah 29 Million.

And HBO would do it to be petty, try and hurt CBS/Showtime's profits and make them reconsider showing PPV boxing again. Surely you don't think HBO is above that?

If they flop and have to comeback to HBO Ross and his boss would be very happy I'm sure.

    As I told you before:

Doesn't matter. I don't subscribe to HBO (nor Showtime). So either I pay for Pacquiao-Mosley or I pay for your hypothetical "free" (it's not free) HBO fight, or if I wanted to go the illegal route I stream either over the computer.

Honestly, I don't know if HBO would do that. they have had many scheduling conflicts w/ SHO, but I have no clue how often they do it intentionally. Schedules are made well in advance.

But if they do, I'll watch both. Record one, watch the other live.

Ross has said he'd work with TR again, so I see no reason to act petty. Then again, it's TV. :D

True, but that part in the article when Greenburg finds out he loses out on Pac- Mosley and then calls Haymon and Scheffer to say I love working with you guys is weird to me. But i'm glad he said he would work with TR again.

I hope they work with ALL promoters, not just Golden Boy or TR.

According to Hauser's articles in the past, they work with Golden Boy and Al Haymon.

Believe me, I know. I am sick of how HBO sucks up to GBP and Haymon. Bunch of dickless TV execs who don't know anything about boxing.

They shouldn't even need to do anything in the first place.

Mosley-Pac is such a terrible fight in the first place.

Yeah, just like SSM vs. Margarito was supposed to be.
