Which fight should he sign to first?

Paul Williams - I really don't think this should happen, Paul Williams is a much lower weight than Hopkins and Williams I heard is having a hard time trying to put on weight. So getting all the way up to 170 pounds won't be good for his body right now.

Tomasz Adamek - Beating a Cruiserweight champion would be great if Hopkins could add this to his resume at 44 years old. Adamek isn't the best champion though, he doesn't really have anyone on his resume that's good except for really O'neil Bell. It still would be a great win considering how much weight Hopkins needs to gain....but he isn't that good.

Chad Dawson - The current Light Heavyweight Champion with wins over Antonio Tarver x2, Glen Johnson, Eric Harding AND Tomasz Adamek and an upcoming fight with Glen Johnson again he seems like by far the best choice. Dawson is in his physical prime, and is also very fast. This is at Hopkins normal weight so it wouldn't be hard for Hopkins to make this fight happen and plus Dawson is for sure the best opponent out of these three. Beating a prime young light heavyweight champion would really solidify Hopkins career as one of the best ever, he already is now but at 44 years old it would be that much better.

Don't you think his best choice would be to face Dawson? I didn't add Roy Jones in this poll because I know Hopkins wants to fight one of these guys first. Plus Jones is fighting in November so it can't happen yet, but I hope it does.

Hopkins VS Adamek would be a good fight and could make Hopkins a 2 weight world champion

IMO to better his legacy...I think he should shoot for Adamek...That would enhance his HOF career.

Dawson would be a good fight as well but its nothing like going up to a new weight class and beating the bigger man.

I just look at it like Dawson already beat Adamek so why not face Dawson instead? Moving up in weight is a good choice too but Dawson is the better fighter.

Definitely Adamek. Hopkins is at 183 lbs right now and will be scary at about 190. Plus, this fight is very winnable.

I don't think Hopkins could beat Dawson.

The best payoff would be to fight Adamek and win, but he will most likely lose badly

Winning the IBO title doesn't make you a world champion
