My diet is definitely ****, much like the thread starters... little to no fruit or unprocessed foods. I work my ass off in the gym, but still get positively exhausted and some days I feel like absolute **** for no apparent reason. Are you ****ers telling me this could have something to do with my diet? Really, positively, truly? Can anyone advise a basic outline for a diet on a budget? I can't really afford fruits & s. I feel unhealthy and weak most of the time, I'm really quite fed up with the feeling. Thanks.
Absolutely. If you can afford processed junk, you can afford fruits and vegetables. What you could do is add vegetable soups and smoothies for example. You can buy frozen veggies in large bags, they barely cost a dime about 1 euro for half a kilo of veggies. Add some meatballs, ground meat is fairly lean and rather inexpensive. Garlic, not exactly high priced. Onions, dirt cheap. Bouillon blocks, 50 cent for a months worth perhaps. Some fresh herbs to finish the soup and add nutritional value, like rosemary, dill, oregano, parsley, etc. You could even grow those in your garden if you have one. Smoothies don't take much money either, all you need is yogurt, orange juice, and a few different fruits. Banana's are dirt cheap. Strawberries are cheap as well this time of the year. Canned peaches are very affordable as well. Flax seeds are about one euro per bag and a bag lasts a few weeks. A bit of cinnamon is nice in a smoothie as well and very healthy. Replace your processed foods like white bread with whole multigrain bread. Add dairy products as long as they don't contain additives. **** off margarine in favor of butter. Look at the price tag on broccoli. It doesn't even cost more most of the time. Dump processed food unless you absolutely need the calories.
Make your diet completely healthy (except condiments) and the transition from eating like **** to 90% clean won't hurt at all. It worked for me. I would also add a good multivitamin and buy a flaxseed oil/fish oil combination at a local health store (not a grocery store/retail store). They'll generally have you take 1-3 TBSPS a day and it tastes just like yogurt. Too many people have a deficiency in GOOD oils. Also regarding the protein foods: If the deli doesn't cut it fresh in front of you & the meat/fish/fowl is not by the butcher area, don't buy it. For The vegetables and fruit: fresh is best - then frozen - and the canned stuff should be a last resort. Making a combination vegetable soup like RDJ can also do wonders for your health. Any fresh dairy will be good for you unless your body can't handle it for a medical reason. Cow milk is fine, you don't have to run out and get goat milk or anything like that. Regular Protein powders are just "okay". They can help if you are getting way under your bodyweight's worth in grams a day, but otherwise you can just stick to natural foods and never have a need for it. It's okay to take in your grains as long as they are whole and not refined. White bread will probably be the hardest thing to give up for most people. This is all just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.
I read a few tips on here about nutrition and have changed my diet. I've dropped from 187 lbs to 178 lbs in 5 weeks, with no exercise whatsoever.

you are an idiot! WTF........burgers,pizza .......change your diet if you want to maintain your weight and be fresh and healthy if you ever have a fight. oats, wheet, porridge, boiled eggs.this is what you should have for breakfast its alot healthier than what you are already having and you should have alot more vegetables with your dinner and fresh fish or redmeat but not alot of greasy **** that you have mentioned.
