If running more and boxing more is too much for you then start out slow. Walk everyday. Morning and evening. Try for 2-3 miles twice a day and walk as fast as you can.

    What's your diet like?

    Don't run.
For a fat guy, that's pretty much pointless, it's a bit harsh on your joints.

Do some strength workouts, do some skipping, bodyweight circuits, like pushups, squats, shadowboxing, jumping jacks, also bag work obviously.

Walk briskly but don't try to run.

Swim... big guys can swim just as long as little guys without worrying about effing up your joints... swimming burns 700 to 800 calories an hour depending on your intensity level. You can swim longer & more frequently than you can jog; thus you can burn a lot more calories.

Started swimming again about a month ago and have already dropped 10 pounds & a pants size - this is after 3 months of 6+ hours a week doing fighting training that hadn't caused a single pound to drop (or my clothes to fit more loosely).

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that I'm not 100 % sure lifting weights is compatible with weight loss. Lifting infrequently (once a week) is good to maintain strength but the release of growth hormone may hamper weight loss if done on a more frequent basis than that.

I'm just speaking from my own experience here; I was doing a lot of lifting the 3 months prior to re-starting swimming (in addition to the fighting training) and my body composition wasn't changing - even with a healthy diet. I wasn't losing pounds and I sure wasn't losing inches off my waist. I lift about once a week now, to make sure I don't lose too much strength.

Burning fat and building muscle are somewhat exclusive "modes". When you build muscle, hormones get released to tell the body to grow (hgh). It doesn't matter how clean your diet is, when the body's in "grow" mode, it puts on fat as well as muscle. This might be a good idea to do at the beginning phase of your training, so you can build a bigger "engine" to burn "fuel" with; so to speak. But I would definitely taper off with the weights if/when you get into the serious weight-dropping phase.
