Its obvious Pac does not want to risk it before the Hatton fight because in case he loses which is a very big possibility the Hatton fight is out the window.
I think JMM should just move on and forget about Pac. I would have loved for him to actually get the nod against Pac but that seems unlikely unless he knocks him out.

Potential fights for JMM. I think he could clean up SFW. Why not unify all the belts.
Valero would be easy pickings for him and its a pretty decent name do to his hype.
Fana is just an early KO waiting to happen.
Guzman would be a tough fight but i think he edges him out in a close close fight.

Also with his skills he could go up to 135 and pick up some belts there.
I think he could outbox Nate Campbell since he is not gonna beat him on the inside.
Casamayor i think would be a chess match which he could still win since JMM is not gonna sit there and slug it out with Casamayor. Not to mention he showed against Pac he can take that left hand away pretty good and Casamayor is slower than Pac so i dont see him getting tagged with it too much.
Juan Diaz is also there but would be a tough fight since he is so relentless and never stops coming forward.

All these fights should also pay pretty good for him then he can just go on and retire. I mean he is pushing it at his age.

Edwin Valero has the most perfect record in boxing right now, but his opposition has not been worthy IMO. A good way for him to prove himself would be against JMM.

But if I was a Marquez advisor, i would want to go for that belt Fana has, It's ready to get plucked. Then set up a fight with Guzman, that would be a great fight. Marquez has been tested many times, I can't say the same for Guzman. Guzman could outbox JMM to a UD, But it can still be dangerous for Guzman. I would really like to see a Guzman and Marquez fight, before Marquez is too banged up and finished.

I think JMM is too technically sound to be beat by Guzman. Guzman has good speed but Soto who is much slower than JMM was able to hit Guzman plenty of times. Guzman has a great chin but not enough power to deck JMM IMO.

I see JMM beating Guzman in a UD.

Fana is the sure thing but not much money in that.

yeah no money in the Fana fight, just that belt and an easy fight.

JMM is technically better than Guzman, but Guzman is fresh and youthful compared to the battletorn JMM. I don't see Guzman beeing able to drop JMM, Marquez could drop him though. Guzman will just run around, he lacks the minerals to really put up a good fight.

Avenge the loss to Chris John while waiting for Pac.

Why fight Chris John? He is looking for big pay days or belts.
John is a feather weight so he would have to come up and he offers no belt or really any money. Even the average boxing fan doesnt know who Chris John is.

I say take an easy fight in Fana
Then take a slighty riskier fight in Valero. Actually i expect JMM to drop Valero quite a bit and then take him out in the mid rounds.
Then if he wants go to Guzman or jump up to 135.

I think Valero-JMM would sell pretty good in Texas
Guzman-JMM would sell good in Florida.

It's obvious Pac wants nothing to do with JMM so he should just move on.

My suggestion would be for him to worry about his legacy and start by going to 135 and fight either Casa or Campbell, a win here and he becomes a 3 div "champ". He is not getting any younger so the time is NOW!

Fight the fight with the biggest payday he can get.

JMM is getting up there in years and doesn't have much time left before someone knocks him out of the top p4p ranks.

Anyone from 126-135 that gets him the biggest payday should be his next opponent.

There are so many options in that weight range that he should have no problem getting someone big in the ring.

Ideally, he should maybe get Valero after he makes his US debut.

    Good money and the W.

Baby Bull, Guzman, Katsides, Chris John, Soto, Casamayor are all nice fights.

He does not need to pluck that blet from Fana in order to get a fight with Guzzy; he can get any fight he wants, except for that Pac trilogy.

He is in a situation where everyone would welcome him to be their next fight; save for Pac.:yep

Why is everybody still talking about Fana?

Thanks to educated and up to date posters like PATSYS, one should finally know that Baloyi is the IBF champ at SFW...

Btw, I hope that JMM fights Guzman - he's his biggest threat at 130...

At this point, I feel he only has around 2 or 3 more fights before his age shows, so he better fight the best fights out there: Guzman, Casamayor, or Pac.

I want him to end the Valero hype though... then he can worry about Guzman.

I'm surprised no one said something like, "Stop crying".

But Pac don't want it, and Guzman really brings nothing to the table!
CASA or Campbell are the best choices IMO!
