not much he can do, if he stands his ground and fights he will get beat down, if he runs more he loses again. at least if he stands his ground and loses but still make it an exciting fight his stock would go up and he could go on to more big money fights.
The only thing he could really do better is increase his output, but that still wouldn't matter if the judges clearly value another style of fighting and/or are not judging rounds using the proper criteria. Assuming the judges will be the same, however, he's really just gonna have to stay in the pocket more and counter more aggressively rather than passively, yet beautifully, make his opponent follow him around like a lost puppy and evade punch after punch, hoping that the judges noticed.
