If Pacquiao chooses to leave Arum, he should go to Golden Boy Promotions. I bet even if he leaves Arum, Mayweather will still not take the fight.

Even now, Mayweather is claiming Pacquiao is begging. :patsch Next he'll say Pacquiao is really really desperate to make the fight because he left Arum. :deal

No matter what Pac does Void will not fight him. Void will just come up with another excuse. Void thinks he is bigger than boxing, but everyone will remember Void's cowardice, how Void ran from Pac for years...........

The problem is that according to a nurse I work with who apparently knows Pac, he is not that educated. He has businesses in the Phillipines, but in terms of starting up his own promotional company, he doesn`t have the know how.I would be very weary of signing back with his team of Arum, Koncz, whom he trusted. They f&?$.. him and now the public wants Mayweather to bail him out. Remember when Mayweather had his own problems who helped him? Remember when Arum and HBO offered Mayweather a 20 million / 10 fight contract and when mayweather called it a slave contract people went crazy saying all kinds of negative things about him but look where he is today. Mayweather made decisons based on what he felt he was worth and now pac needs to do the same thing. Even if they do fight, Arum will be making all the money and Mayweather has very right not to want to do business with Arum. I don't or can't understand why people are unable to understand this.

How was he called out in 2009 when Mayweather announced his return after the Hatton/Pacquiao fight and immediately signed with Marquez for a fight in October?

On topic, he should resign with Top Rank. Arum brought him all the biggest and best fights out there and even negotiated with De La Hoya(we all know the problems both have/had here). Leaving Top Rank because Mayweather is demanding it is nonsense because Mayweather will continue to demand many strange comical things.

I see you as a reasonable person and two reasonable people will never see eye to eye when comes to FLoyd/Pac ordeal.

No one is denying that TR has brought Manny to the point he is at but the question is not about that or the probability of facing floyd it is what is the best interest for Pac.

For those who questions Pac's competence to create a promotional company, Manny would not have to deal with the day to day operations but be the face of the company. Most top names in recent years have formed their own company to keep more money in their pocket.

I guess the real question has Manny outgrown TR and if so what direction should he go?

A fight with Floyd is only background noise. If he left TR I think it would increase the probability of the fight happening greatly. However, it would open the door to Oscar's stable and much more. Personally I do not trust Arum (like the other dinosaur Don King) as far as I can throw him and think he is at the point where he can go on his own.

He will most likely resign with Top Rank, that's the direction he will go even if he already(which I personally believe he did long ago) outgrew Top Rank. I honestly believe Pacquiao can't be bothered with the hassle which is why he is signed with Top Rank and will fight anyone Arum picks as a credible opponent. That's what he pays Arum to do, find opponents and promote the fights. If Pacquiao finally decides he's done with the sport I expect him to simply retire away and move on to his political career.

Mayweather wants Pacquiao to leave Arum so he can freely dictate everything as he so desires. This isn't only an "issue" with Arum, Mayweather wants everything going his way during negotiations. He earned that spot against others but Pacquiao isn't Ortiz, Alvarez, Guerrero, Mosley or Cotto to accept anything thrown at him. He is a major name too and should be able to demand as well.

Pac has a big name & following, he should just fight as a free agent like cotto. That would free him to fight any one in any promo club & he can allow the promoter to promote the fight. I think pac can further his legacy this way because right now no matter how great pac wants to be, its Arum making his choices & deciding his future. I would advise him to fight as a free agent & hire Al Haymond as his manager .
