Taylor should get right back in there. He can win a rematch and prove that he can come back from a loss. Plus, if he wins we'll get to see a rubbermatch and a hard fought trilogy is always good for boxing.
That was a great fight...and it looked like ap ossibel FOTY... rematch would be best for the fans, and if Taylor would win it, it would prove he deserves to be a champ, and has heart.
Taylor already proved he has heart and deserves to be a champ by fighting and overcoming B-Hop twice. What a win in a rematch with Pavlik would prove is that he has the resiliency to come back from a loss. The essential quality of an ATG.
There's no otherway to go but to rematch Pav immediately. If he stays away from Pav . . . he'll get more critism. . . . or he can retire if he's not into it anymore.
I think Taylor really should wait a while before taking on Pavlik again. And when he does it should be at super middleweight but it should a year and half away. # 1 First after coming off a lose take on a non puncher like Sergio Mora. # 2 Then take on a busy pressure fighter Khoren Gevor. # 3 Then take on a tough guy like Joey Gilbert. Then move up to super middle. # 4 Take on Edison Miranda in a money fight that press would love. # 5 Take on Dennis Inkin to get a number one rating in the Super middleweight division. Then he would be ready for Pavlik who by that time would be ready to move up to super middle.:deal
1. Dump Manny Steward 2. Get a Trainer that would help him change his philly style defense, which is shite. 3. Take a mini break, not too long though. 3. Move up to SMW, fight Berrio for the IBF title by sometime in April or May. 4. Depending on how he does at SMW and possibly set up a re-match for sometime next fall at.
It's a gamble but if he rematches right away, and wins he's back up top. But if he loses, he's finished as a marketable guy.
