uuuuuaaaaaahhhhhh(before)................ ajAAAHHHHH(while punching) I have a trainer who mimicks the sounds of people hitting the mitts, don don,don don
Well Theres the loud "SSSSS" used by fighters like Roy Jones, Ike Quartey, Floyd Mayweather, Larry Holmes, Lennox Lewis etc. It helps make punches look/sound more flashy. Example: Gatti vs Mayweather Then theres the "yell" used by pressure fighters with average power most of the time. Ricky Hatton, Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, Devon Alexander, Joe Frazier. Then theres the guys who make no noise/exhale though thier nose so u cant hear it, like James Toney, Winky Wright, Mike Tyson, Erik Morales, George Foreman. Then my fav.... the "OOOMMPH" sound that you could imagine making after taking a good bodyshot. Made by nonother than Julian Jackson. In the ring, I personally hate loud hissers, theyre annoying af ****, especially when the overdo it lol.
I use the noise to feint people. I'll start out making the noise, then occasionally I'll make the noise without throwing the punch, or delay throwing the punch. It always works.
thats funny homie! i reemember making that sound one time when a chicago ammy by the name of george kapoulas hit me with a left hook that i never saw coming. Thought he busted my nose and teeth at the same time. lukily he didnt :nut
arrrha! when im getting tired & loading up. susss when im breathing out throwing fast light punches. tri not to make the arrrha or ha sound because i find ull tense up. susss helps you breath & keeps you more relaxed.
Dead silent while jabbing or counter left hooking. Hunmph when going to the body. Light growl going for the head with hooks.
I do the no noise/exhale through my nose 95% of the time but if its the end of the round or something and I'm really throwing bombs (whether at an opponent or a heavy bag) I start to get a yelling "hah" sound going. I hate that hissing sound some fighters use.
