If Khan beats someone of note then there is an argument for a 50/50 split. Khan desperately needs to stay active- if he fought even just three times a year against average opposition then options would definitely open up for him.
True, but my point was regarding the fact that it was pointed out that Kells record was not great before becoming world champion. I was just reasoning that neither was khans, plus kell beat a better champion in my opinion. Khans best win is clearly maidana, which is a better win than porter. but the maidana khan beat isn't as good as the current version, who I think would take khan out.
Improved. Even you said in another thread 'look at what maidana went on to do against floyd'. He's improved considerably since he fought khan, he's learnt how to use a jab for a start.
Maidana has improved ... quite a fair bit that its fairly obvious, however that in turn then takes away from Khans win then... he beat a poorer Maidana than we have today and i think thereofre the win against Maidana looks better than it was (still a good win and he could still bang). I know it doesnt mean much but i think i would maybe favour Porter over Maidana. hard to call tho. But the Maidana that Khan beat is not the Maidana we all think about now.
Aron Martinez (20-4-1, 4 KO's) beat Devon Alexander last night, Khan's best win in years. So what exactly has Khan done since moving to WW, apart from call out Mayweather for over two years and now Pacquiao?
Maidana is a far more rounded fighter since he fought Khan, he has improved hugely. There is no doubt about that.
