What style will Canelo utilise against Golovkin in their rematch. The general consensus from the last fight was that Canelo did some very good, flashy things in the ring, but too infrequently and only in short spurts. With a lot of the fight having him backed up against the ropes and on the back foot against the relentless pressure of GGG.

Whilst the training footage of Canelo looks great (as it always does), it's a completely different story when you're in the ring having someone like GGG trying to knock your head off. Plus, Canelo's stamina issues which were even prevalent in the first fight, with the potential added help of Clenbuterol will more than likely resurface in this upcoming bout.

I'm interested to know what type of strategy you think he'll take. With the added injection of venom this time round will we see Canelo take a more aggressive stance and be willing to trade more will Golovkin? (Bad idea in my books with a guy possessing the chin and power of GGG) or will Canelo yet again have to take a more backwards approaching and try and fire off more counterpunches and stay on the back foot again? What are your thoughts people?

I personally just can't see Canelo boxing on the back foot again being popular with the general public and he will tire again. And if he tries to trade with Golovkin in the middle of the ring it might not go the full 12, cause I believe GGG is looking to do some serious damage here.

I expect him to double down on the style he used in the first fight. He got a draw with it, and GGG’s one year older, so why not?

Golovkin should go Mexican style this time , cos he certainly didn't bring it last time.

Miadana going hell for leather against Mayweather is what real Me'h'ico style look like

He did get a draw from it yes, but courtesy of an extremely dubious scorecard from Adalaide Byrd, which sadly isn't the first time she's given a dodgy scorecard in favour of Canelo. I feel had there been another judge in her place when that fight happened first time round, Golovkin would have secured the win officially.

Yes Golovkin has slowed down a touch naturally being 36 now and his defence has never been spectacular at all, but he was piling the pressure and walking down a man who is pretty much 10 years his junior. However, Canelo's stamina was called into question yet again. I'm just interested to see if he can keep GGG off him if GGG fights in an even more hyper aggressive state than he did in the first fight which I believe to be his intention, coupled with Canelo's lack of stamina, possibly being affected even more so with a lack of clenbuterol in his system... it'll be interesting to see which way this fight swings.

Sad to say this but Golovkin really needs to show lack of respect to Canelo's punches and just get in close and be reckless. Sort of like he did for Kell Brook

Canelo is going to be using a lot of movement and be in and out a lot. I think GGG is going to be a lot more aggressive then the last one because he doesn’t want to leave it in the judges hands. Can’t wait for Saturday!!

He'll be using the 'dismantle' technique.

He’ll try to do more laps this time, in order to achieve that he’ll have to sacrifice time allocated for actual boxing so he’ll only box for 15s per round instead of 30.
According to Cheppo, this is a sound strategy, his horse will outrun the donkey no worries.

Actually the draw was courtesy of two judges. Welcome to Vegas, Mr. Golovkin!

Yes that's true to be fair. I suppose I was just drawn to how skewed Byrd's scorecard was! 118-110... what on earth was she watching?!

Canelo showed his best movement and defense to date. I believe he will stick to the game plan of the previous fight. GGG will have to get agressive early and risk counters going to the body. He needs to drain Canelos tank earlier.

I'd like to see a dogfight. Take it completely out of the judges hands. No BS early stoppage. Just 2 guys letting it all hang out and letting their hands go. I think both guys have great chins and both want a KO.
