    a tall,long brawler/inside/pressure fighter such as margarito,pavlik,old froch etc

or the same type fighter only shorter such as frazier, tyson, gamboa etc

on one hand the shorter fighter is more explosive on the inside as he has smaller arms but the larger fighter has more presence and strength

Depends on who's implementing the style.

Fighting at close ranges is more natural and suitable for shorter and stocky guys.

There isn't one simple, all inclusive, answer to the question. It depends on a number of variables: who is implementing the style, who is the opponent, who is the referee, et.

In general a tall fighter who can brawl and fight well on the inside has more choices than a short fighter if the tall fighter can box at mid-range, and from long-range.

On the other hand, a brawling/swarming on the inside style comes more naturally to a short fighter.

Overall I think you have to look at the question on a case by case level.
