when was tyson sub-200? when he was 12 years old?

personally, i don't pick anyone over marciano at this weight. you people are selling him far too short. and used to be the kind who thought he was over-rated.

I would favour Louis a prime Walcott and give Dempsey and Prime Charles 50/50 I think Rocky would beat CW Evander, Patterson and Johnson.

I dont know why people say "Prime" Charles. Charles in his prime was a lightheavyweight, and would need to gain a lot of pounds vs Marciano.

And number 2, either fight was not relly that close, the first fight, Marciano won by a pretty good margin, and the rematch, Marciano almost had a shut out. Loseing only one mere round of the 8 on all 3 scorecards.
Outside of the cut, Marciano had the fight in control pretty much, a lighter Charles would pose less problems imo.

As much as I like Dempsey, he suffered against smaller opponents. He was truly a giant killer. The comment above regarding Charles is correct; neither of those fights were that close. Tunney, no. He fought a thoroughly depleted Dempsey who offered very little pressure and still almost succumbed in the second fight. Marciano, with his pressure and workrate(a bigger Greb?) would destroy him. Langford? Interesting. Not enough footage to accurately even hypothosize. My feeling is that none that he fought, Johnson and certainly Wills or McVey included had the clout Marciano possessed.

How you guys reckon a prime Juan Carlos Gomez goes against Marciano and those other small heavies?

Though my first thoughts are I dont give him to much of a chance, I remember how much of a weapon he was when he was at cruiser.

Louis is the only one I would make a favourite over Rocky. He was that good.

Good question. Here are some thoughts.

Louis - quite possibly. would be a very hard one, though.

Dempsey - hard to call. don't think he KO's Marciano and therefore has to favour the Rock. maybe he can stop Marciano on cuts.

Toney - Marciano would eventually grind him down.

Holyfield - he was well rounded enough to be able to pull it off. no excessive brawling, though. it would be a war anyway.

RJJ - over 12 rounds I can see him possibly keeping away, pot shooting and taking a decision. harder over 15, though.
