Funny you mention Toney, MK. I've spoken to James about guys he respects. He only had a handful. Marciano was one of 'em, along with Louis, Robinson, Moore and Burley.

    He mentioned Burley?

I'm surprised, i mean most more-than-average-knowledge boxing fans know a bit about Louis or Robinson, but Burley was a fairly "underground" type of fighter. Wouldn't expect a big mouth like Toney to know of him.

Toney knows his ****, how do you think he's developed such a style, he knows more than people on this forum who don't even know how to properly hold up a guard properly

Well, we only know the public James Toney, many people aren“t in public what they are in private.

Toney's old trainer, Bill Miller, gave him a first class education in boxing history. And James is not dumbass in these regards. Too bad he didn't always apply himself during his career.

Louis was the only one with a chance, Marciano was a freak of nature and although I rate Louis higher than Marciano it would have always been a tough fight for Joe...as far as Tunney and the rest Rocky gets them all between 1-15
