If a fighter schooled Floyd would that be called a boring fight? No it wouldn't, people would probably wet their pants in excitement. So why is it called boring when Floyd school's an opponent? As for myself this is why I am a fan of Mayweather, there are not many fighters out there who absolutely school their opponents on a regular basis. I like to watch Mikey Garcia because he is nothing like a typical Robert Garcia fighter, Mikey actually got skills and takes his opponents to school. What he did to Salido was impressive. Mikey is just as technical as Floyd right now, why isn't he called boring? Rigo is also a fighter who takes his opponents to school, so does B Hop, why are they called boring? Is it a race/nationality thing? I wonder.........:huh
Actually I've made threads about Pacwow and Juanma today, I guess you only notice the Mayweather threads. Says a lot about you doesn't it?
It's only a problem when you give the guy no chance going into the fight. Robert Guerrero, Victor Ortiz and Marcos Maidana have never been top fighters. EVER. Be honest, if Maidana hadn't beaten a hugely overhyped Broner you wouldn't be talking about that "win streak" Maidana had going before that. Ortiz and Guerrero beat Berto... who also has not a single good win on his resume.
How about someone with boxing skill? Khan, Manny, Bradley, Andrade. Even a rematch with Cotto is better. It's my own personal opinion that Floyd is going to have an easy time with Maidana and he should have beaten him easily the first time. I don't want to pay to see that. Maidana looked the same to me as he always has.
You can't be 46-0 if you are afraid to lose, a fighter afraid to lose doesn't become the highest paid fighter in the world. Its my belief that a fighter that is afraid to lose would do just that.....lose. Maybe the better way of viewing Floyd is as a fighter who is determined to win, thats what I see, a winner. What prevents other fighters from being winners, are they missing something?
Whether he is a winner or afraid to lose like some of these posters say it doesn't matter. If being afraid to lose is what drives him to excel then so be it. Why does he have to accept losing? A fighter that accepts losing sounds like a fighter that's not fit to fight at all.
