A critic could point out the size difference between Tyson & Spinks. I don't give much weight to Tyson's win over Holmes myself. About as much weight as I'd give Holmes' win over Ali.

To be honest the division would be a lot closer talent wise & the belts would be changing hands quite a bit. Eventually one fighter would emerge and it's quite possible that fighter would be a guy Wlad or Vitali beat.

They could. Then they could also see the size difference between Liston and Patterson. Or that Marciano's wins over Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore were fighters much better suited at Light Heavyweight (Moore being in his 40s). Even Jersey Joe Walcott was 38.

I don't put Holmes anywhere near what he did with Ali because Muhammad was already suffering from Parkinsons Disease at the time. And because Holmes, an entire four years after the Tyson fight went the distance with Holyfield and even outboxed him in spurts, and beat an undefeated Ray Mercer who incidentally is frequently mentioned when it comes to the resumes of Holyfield and Lewis.

All fair points, just like saying Wlad's win over Mercer wasn't the best version of Mercer.

Not Top 10, bite your tongue! :nono

But just as Foreman's the oldest Heavyweight to win a belt, myou have a to give some extra credit for being the first hispanic.

None of them are HOF's. Byrd would come the closest but even under the Barry McGuigan rule I don't see him being appointed. He was a good fighter but he wasn't great, nor was he a mainstream attraction or anything like that.

Why all the K2 fans staying clear of this thread?

May be the most credit they've ever been given on a post-by-post basis from non-Klitschko fans.
