I was surprised at how Cotto just decided he didn't want any more. I thought he would have stuck it out to the end no matter what.

when u see margarito taking cintrons big right hand bombs to the head and not flinching, then cotto sure as hell was never going to knock him out unless it was a body shot, which again would have been difficult to put margo away with

You may be right. Margarito is just so damn strong and armed an iron chin. I think it's time to give Antonio a new name. How about Dr. Iron Jaw Margarito. Oh **** i better call Vitali and see if it's cool. In all honesty Cotto can't get any taller. The only thing he could do would be to lift weights to put more power behind his punchs. Plus liftn weights will make him all around stronger. Margo was the stronger fighter by far. Cotto would have to lift weights for brute strength not to gain size. Plus he has to learn how to hold and clinch. Plus never landed to many punchs to the body. That would have helped Cotto out alot.

I never once was suprised Margarito took those punches to the head and kept coming, he's a bull and I knew there was little chance of Cotto knocking this guy out going straight to the head. What did suprise me was as people said no body work at all, maybe if he couldve have softened him up in the body he couldve slowed him down enough, but who knows.

There were a few things that shocked me.

    1) I scored the second round 10-10. I was amazed that Cotto survived when Tony hit that double upper-cut. He did more than survive. He stayed right with Tony, and that surprised me.

    2) Cotto damn near sweeping the first 5 rounds. ( Like I said I scored round two even.)

    3) Cotto taking a knee surprised me. I did not expect that.

Cotto not ****ing clinching. He didnt have to abuse clinching but it would of saved him a whole lot of energy if he would of clinched a few times in a round after landing a combo while Margarito kept walking forward. He could of possibly won the fight. No need to get backed all the way up against the ropes. Margarito has long arms and you would not take that much damage just tying him up. You dont wait to you have dead legs to try to hold. That would of made Margarito have to go out of his controlled demolition mode.

I have said this before and again I will. Cotto trying to clinch the bigger and stronger Margarito would not have helped much. Margarito fights effectively even when clinched whereas cotto cannot.

In the begining I was suprised at how easy Cotto was landing and getting away. I thought after 6 it was all over. I wasnt ready for Cotto to fold so quickly. I am shocked that going into the 11th Cotto was 2 behind on 2 scores, I had it 6 to 4 Cotto. I didnt expect Cotto to fold so easily thats the biggest shock to me. He was never caught with anything monsterous it was just his lack of ability to assimilate the accumulation of Margos blows.

I could not believe he clinchs so little. Hey made a huge tactical error nolt holding and clinching. Margo needs room to punch tie him up and he's ****ed. As smart as Cotto is I could not believe he made such a huged tactical error that is easy to do!

Hell yeah, I dont know what that idiot above was thinking. He could not get off good shots with his arms tied up. Cotto has not mastered the art of taking breaks in clinches. That is what the skilled fighters do. Also, he could of frustrated Margarito a little bit instead of doing everything he expected him to do. Margarito is not quick enough to catch him in the process of clinching and it helped JT a whole lot the second fight against Pavlik.

Cotto never going to the body and Margarito taking those extremely powerful shots like they were jabs.

Why is that shocking when you consider the relentless pressure Marg put on him?
