What tactic should Hrgovic use to have a chance of beating Itauma?

Hrgovic is gna be slower then Moses for the most part so I think when Moses moves in for attack Hrgovic's best option is to punch with him and deflect shots while countering at the same time. Try and snag a chin shot and test Moses

 

Hrgovic has invented a new form of rabbit punching. That thing he does where if someone ducks in front of him, he throws a downward right hand at the top of their head. It’s wild refs never call him on it.

 

Hrgovic isn’t fast but has great timing. Ituama will beat him to the punch every time, but he’ll be able to time Ituama (as he has every opponent) and catch him with some rights. That timing is one of the reasons he’s pretty good, despite being relatively upright and robotic.

 

Avoid eating to many power punches to the face would be a good start. Followed by landing your own power punches.

 

To stop napping halfway in the fight and put the pressure on.

Jab, jab, jab, and avoid open exchanges in the early rounds, aiming to work the body, then capitalizing in the second half of the fight. Itauma has never fought more than six rounds in a match. If the fight turns out to be, as I expect, a twelve-round title final eliminator, Hrgovic will have a better chance of winning if he can push Moses further. This is my opinion on the Croatian's tactics, but my prediction is that Itauma will win by late stoppage.

 

Don't turn up Itauma in 5-6 rounds by KO.

 

Keep it long, low volume and don’t be too predictable, because opening up constantly will present Itauma with opportunities which he’ll absolutely take, and Hrgovic absolutely won’t get the better of the mid-close range exchanges.

Don’t neglect the jab just because he’s southpaw, use that jab and use that long lead hand to set up opportunities and make Itauma fall short.

Keep the combinations at 3-4 punches at most, then get back out at range.
