I think he'll need to be on the same kind of form he showed against Tszyu . Constantly in his face , shortening the range and therefore neutralising Manny's jab . If Ricky still has that kind of performance in him he has a fantastic chance at a famous victory .

How do you think Ricky will have to fight this to win ?

Be a master boxer or a bulldozer with a granite chin.

Making it a fight instead of trying to box with Pacman.

On the first round Ricky should hit Pac's balls. Then aim for tons of body shots.

Take the leverage out of the straight left.

    Use right hand leads occasionally.

    Bang to the body.

i think thats the strategy hatton needs to employ as well. pac is'nt an adept inside fighter hatton needs to get in his face, smother his punches, manhandle him on the inside and wear manny down.

The body, the body, the body.

He has to immobilise Pac. He is too elusive for Hatton IMO, so he has to pressure Pac to the ropes and work the body, take his legs away, or if he's lucky score a KO from a bodyshot.

Won't happen though. He'll be gone by the 9th.

There's no use head hunting Pac, as Pac has great head movement and evasive speed.

The main point is attack the body for Pac to lessen his breathing. Inside fighting won't do much as Pac punching speed will outland Hatton. Body is the main key. He won't be able to hold Pac near the ropes.

Just check this video... and this was pre-Morales III.

Hatton needs to take away Pac's lead right and straight left. That's all to it.

Oh for some reason he should hit Pac's balls. Remember Solis was able to neutralize Pac's speed after hitting on accidental low blow on his hips. But Pac went mad after that though and we all know what happened.

Sounds like Hatton will try to emulate John Ruiz.
