What tall HW will Haye get for sparring that won't KO his ass?

So you're saying Wlad is cherry picking a bad opponent?

No, I'm saying Haye is a fake hype job from beginning to end, from them making him into a "champ" to this absurd mismatch that's fooling all the jerks hoping for a new Great Black Hope, and it will rake in a lot of sheckels for the boxing mobsters.

He can show how to avoid Wlad's right. :)

Because he's not a threat. I'm not going to build up a fighter like Haye to make Wlad look better. Wlad dominates all the best fighters. What more can he do? Haye isn't even one of the best, but who's left besides Vitali and Povetkin?

According to Thompson, David Haye beat the **** outta him in sparring, and Thompson was one of Wlad's most difficult fights.

No way are they getting Furry in. He has the same trainer as Wlad.

That was a great punch and Austin still hasn't learned to protect himself.

That's the main punch that Haye will have to worry about. It's not just Wlad's jab.

From my recollection, the bout between Tony Thompson and Wlad was a very one-sided (although also pretty boring) affair. I think Tony Thompson lost just about all rounds before he ways knocked out.

Also, Tony Thompsons remarks were in response to Audley claiming that Tony had put David Haye down during sparring.

So I would be a bit wary of comparing the fight between Wlad and Tony with his comments about how good David Haye were in sparring.

Haye was impressive against Barrett and Ruiz - he comprehensively beat both. Both came in fit, ready to fight and determind to KO Haye, (can we say the same about any recent Klit opponents?) both got up when they got KD and both got beaten up in the end. Ruiz left with busted ear drums in both ears, a broken nose and broken jaw - impressive stuff.

Anyone who thinks Value won his fight with Haye doesn't understand how boxing is scored and what the judges are looking for. Valuev hardly landed a single punch all fight (its very difficult to win a round it you don't land a single effective blow.) Which rounds did you give Valuev and why?? Haye landed very little but did enough to win the rounds on offence and defence even staggering Valuev late in the fight - this after he broke his right hand early on (it was grossly swollen and obviously broken, as shown in many tv interviews after the fight). Haye clearly won the fight if you score it round by round - watch it again - it was by no means a great performance but when you factor in the injury and you see how often he made Valuev miss whlist also catching him clean once or twice a round, it's an impressive win.

Admittedly the Fraudly fight was a joke - Haye did what he he had to do but doesn't deserve an awful lot of credit for it.

I think Haye has a chance against Waldo if he cracks him one early (he is capable of doing that and seems to think Waldo's style is made to measure for him - its a big test for Waldo and one he really needs) but if it doesn't end early i can't see Haye slipping that jab for 12 rounds and once it starts to connect regularly Haye is in trouble because the straight right is sure to follow.

Wladimir has some poor oppentents recently to match Hayes.

Peter first time out in a new boxing style.
He should fire his manager. If he had had 6 fights in his new style then maybe challenging Wladimir would have been sensible.

Chageav was coming back from a ruptured achilles and hep B diagnoise and had two fights in two years plus management problems. Also he is a fat cruiserweight who is 6ft at best with a short reach.

Sultan another fat cruiserweight under 6ft with a short reach.

Eddie Chambers another fat cruiserweight, correction Eddie could make the old cruiserweight limit of 190. When Haye has a waist like a 208 Eddie he is 230-235, yes Haye does come down from 238 to box. Oh and yes another under 6ft, decent reach.

Anybody arguing about these three being short asses look at sultan vs holyfield, chageav vs ruiz or meechan, eddie vs Peter, Peter vs James toney.

Then you have a shot Rahman, a shot Brewster.

You are left with tony Thompson.
I do not rate Austin either.

It is a long time since Wladimir has had a decent challenger which always leaves a fighter in danger of not training and going soft. He might be fine but the last five years have done him no favours.

And when was the last time Haye fought anyone with any credibility? Wlad fought pretty much the top contenders that came up, while Haye was gifted a title shot and sat on his ass, managing to fight ancient Ruiz and scrubs like Harrisson. Haye has faced exactly one decent puncher in his entire HW campaign (old Barett) and he got floored. If anyone has had the better prep, its Wlad.
