Exactly. Lets do a scenario - Hopkins vs Dawson and say Haye vs Povetkin. One Povetkin might not take the fight but lets say he did. Haye would have to hype the **** out of that to make the money from his previous fights. He's older now he's not as hungry as them Valuev days you can tell when he was smacking cardboard. He just wants the fight for a quick route to redemption and wants to concentrate on that more than anything else.

Haye's in a position to call his own shots, he's made his money, won his belts and he has a solid legacy at CW if not HW. It would be like asking Floyd to fight contenders to earn the right to fight Pac, or vice versa. I'm not comparing Haye with them skill or achievement-wise, but he's at the tail-end of his career and he obviously only wants fights that are worth the hassle of training for months on end, and at the end of the day he's a two-weight champion and a former HW Champion/titleist who's probably achieved far more than he dreamed of when he first started boxing. Klitards keep asking what Haye has done to deserve his shot, when it's Vitali that obviously doesn't want the biggest payday of his career for whatever reason. Contenders are not only avoiding each other and the Klits, they're also avoiding Haye and anyone that would take their zero. You don't see anyone calling him out despite there being potentially massive paydays for pretty much all of them, except maybe Fury and Chisora but then they are both mental.

Besides, he probably made more money (pro rata) by fannying around in the jungle than he has in any fight except maybe Wlad. He could make a living being a 'celebrity' and never have to lace up a pair of gloves again.

Seems like, it's Vitali or nobody.

    It won't happen, anyway.

Because the number 2 holds a World title. Let's see Mr. Haye continue on from his current one fight win streak before we talk about putting him in fighting for a World title. I wonder if there's an Uzbekistan boxing forum where around 10 regular posters make about 20 posts a day demanding Chagaev fights Vitali?

Wheres the pic with Vitali smiling with Haye at the Chisora fight where it says "Promises Rematch, RETIRES"?

you all hang your hat on a comment made by Vitali at a post fight presser as if it gospel and written in stone.... think about all the things Haye has said and even PROMISED yet it didnt happen......give it a rest already:deal

totally different situation... plus I dont care Lewis didnt give a rematch

David had 2 contracts and chances to fight... he didn't... Now after vitali has been talking retirement for the last 2-3 fights.... the Haye fans are saying.." well Vitali said he would fight the winner........"

so ****ing what. Its a comment at a post fight presser. period!!!

what kills me about this thread is how the K2 haters blast Vitali for possible retirement at 42, "DUCK" but pat Haye on the back as "job well done" at age 32 for his retirement if no K2 fight:patsch:patsch

Its not a totally different situation though Chef, Vitali should learn to keep his mouth shut or ****ing keep to his principles, it really grinds my gears the **** Lewis has caught for retiring instead of fighting on, now that Vitali is going to do the same thing its conveniently very different. If Vitali retires he's a hypocrite.
