i dont know why winky would duck margarito, that is what i am trying to figure out, at the time when arum offered him the shot (before the mosley fight) that would have been his highest pay day back then (2 mil).

and who does winky think he is, he was never worth ****.

how does calling de la hoya 'the best' hype up the possibility of making that fight?

man you are blind. At this stage in his career, winky wants big money fights. If if you thinky was never worth **** then why don't you step in the ring and fight for him.

This man would shut out cotto.

I don't care about some article. There is no way in hell that Winky turned down a fight with DLH because he was complaining about the split. He would've gotten a huge pay day regardless. He would've beaten DLH up at 154 and put a ATG on his resume. It makes no sense. Winky is probably the last guy in the world that DLH was willing to fight at 154. There is too much risk.

Well, he was being ducked. When he fought Vargas to a tough loss, no one was giving him a big shot until Mosley did. Without Mosley, Wright might've been the best fighter that never got a title shot. His southpaw stance, defense, and great jab is a style nightmare for anyone.

Wright never ducked anyone. He took on all comers. When Hopkins asked him to fight him, he said sure.

Really, i don't care if DLH saids with his own mouth that he offered a realistic fight with Winky. I will NEVER believe it. There is nothing for DLH to gain by fighting a guy he has almost no chance against at 154. And Winky had everything to gain by fighting him.

kessler would beat winky i reckon, i think kess would beat most though.

Think he's fighting for money now though, he'll probably fight a blown up WW soon and win on points in the biggest build up fight, turning out to be the biggets bore in boxng. Which is a shame becaus i respect Winky after fighting all over the globe.

It's Winky's style its good but not in the eyes of some judges and in my opinion Winky beat Taylor, Beat Hopkins. Winky became a legend almost single handedly if he wants to cry he sure as hell has the right. Oscar should fight him but is having dreams of green number$ in his rematch with Floyd.

you guys act like this de la hoya and margarito **** is new. its old news, winky always thinks he should be getting more money.winky has never been, and will never be a draw.a draw puts asees in the seats no matter who they fight. put winky in with a guy with no name recognition and he would end up on espn.
