    Everyone's circumstances are different.

GG isn't a big guy, there's some decent fights at MW if they can be made, SMW isn't strong at the moment, and he's probably too small for LHW.

    He accepted Canelo's voluntary request.

If you have an issue, it should be with Canelo making that request and holding out for 155.

why on earth do you (or anyone else, for that matter) care how much these guys get paid? i've never once understood people bragging about that. they aren't sharing with you, not employing you...

If Canelo fails to force Golovkin to do his bidding then there will be less incentive for these stupid corrupt demands in the future. If fighters would actually hold out like Golovkin is instead of jumping at the first chance at a good payday boxing wouldn't be nearly as corrupt as it is.

It's appalling how so many "fans" are taking Canelo's side on this issue.

    Ha!

It isn't a product of Canelo ducking by asking for a voluntary?

    Are you for real?

Canelo asking for a voluntary is him delaying the fight and not being willing to face GG.

It's hilarious that you're criticising GG for granting Canelo's voluntary request, yet you've turned a blind eye to the the fact that Canelo requested it in the first place.

Canelo isn't willing to face him at 160, and BJS doesn't seem to want to face him either.

If Canelo is stripped or vacates, he will never fight GG.

they are simply backing alvarez because they have an agenda against golovkin. the same guys will sing a different tune when it involves a fighter they back.

Between the two Canelo has actually gone out of his way to take tough fight's and has fought elite fighters.

While I don't exactly agree with a catchweight for a title, if Golovkin at any point in the last 3 years actually tried to make the fight weight doesn't matter as Mandatory.

Golovkin is content with stepping aside and Alvarez is fighting better fighters.

Explain to me how Alvarez who is taking on better comp than GGG should be bashed because Golovkin is content with side stepping instead of enforcing his Mandatory?

People are talking about catch weights but if GGG at any point in the last 2/3 years actually pushed for the fight we wouldn't be in the situation to begin with.

    That's absolute nonsense.

Of course it's not a legitimate fight, not if Canelo is holding the belt ransom and trying to enforce a fellow title holder who's the mandatory challenger to drop weight.

Canelo can weigh whatever he wants. If he's comfortable at 155, that's cool. But he has no authority on what his opponent should have to weigh.

If he really needed to, I guess GG could drop to 155. But why should he when it's against the rules, he's the mandatory to the lineal holder, and the WBC have shown support?

How can you say he won't take risks?

He doesn't have to do anything yet, but he may take risks in the future.

One guy is taking a big money fight vs an opponent more talented than anyone the other has fought, the other is fighting bums like Wade.

Its not on Canelo to push for a Golovkin fight, Golovkin is mandatory why the hell have you passed up your MANDATORY spot for 3 years.

All it takes is enforcing your spot, that fact that Golovkin is content not taking his mandatory **** shouldn't be blamed on everyone else.

Anytime a actual good fighter has been presented to GGG he's made excuses or side steps.

    Everyone's circumstances are different.

It doesn't matter what Canelo has done in the past.

GG has stepped aside for a huge fight once. He is now fighting a mandatory, and he wants to fight Canelo next. He's also tried to fight BJS.

Explain to you why Canelo should be bashed? He's won the lineal MW belt and is now trying to force an established MW and fellow title holder to drop to 155, even though it's not in the rules and he weighs in as a LHW come fight night.

    It's disgusting.

Guess what Golovkin is Mandatory all he has to do it actually enforce it and none if what Alvarez says matters.

It just so happens that Golovkin is cool with side stepping.

Alvarez is just a fall guy if Golovkin wanted the fight Alvarez wouldn't be fighting Khan in May he'd be fighting GGG or GGG would be fighting for the title.
