If they were to fight at 154 I'd give major props to Pac the cw vs Mayweather was a little bs imo, should have done it at the full limit your just opening yourself up for criticism. still there were no issuse with Alvarez in camp and imo he put up a decent performance, I think the expectation was he's a slugger he should go all out and the fact that he chose to box angered fans.

A lot of the early and mid rounds are arguably split for me in some rounds Mayweather boxed and countered landing the hard clean shots, while Alvarez was unable to get off. In other rounds I felt Alvarez landed a lot of good body shots with good activity and pressure while Mayweather was relatively inactive. Mayweather took full control around the championship rounds and closed out the fight, I feel Mayweather looked so impressive in this fight because he quietly turned it up a bit more because he had to.

By comparison with say a Cotto I think the general consensus going into there was complete wipe out and when Cotto made him bleed from a few jabs people were shocked so the unexpected made something lesser seem bigger than what it actually was, the Cotto fight looked rougher but, Alvarez won more rounds.

I also feel a Mayweather-Alvarez rematch may end up happening I think Alvarez is looking to take out Lara, Martinez/Cotto winner for Lineal MW Title, and another MW champ maybe Quillen/GGG, Alvarez has shown willingness to fight the best has already said he wants Martinez/Cotto winner next and could beat all the fighters mentioned. (Even Golovkin has said the best fighter he's been in with is Alvarez). That could set up a Mayweather-Alvarez II in Sept 15" in a huge rematch probably at another cw above 54 for the Lineal MW Title.

This also confuses me people really think that's his best win, maybe most visually entertaining in the sense that you didn't expect it to happen. Wins over guys like Hoya, Castillo, & even Alvarez are bigger wins. I didn't make this thread to talk about Mayweather I just wanted to hear some stylistic reasons why people think Pacquiao wins, if you have any that don't involve the usually dribble your input is welcome.

I don't think Mayweather is TBE like some extreme fans at all but if Mayweather was to win the Lineal MW Title while remaining unbeaten I wouldn't argue if you thought so. Mayweather though is the most overly scrutinized fighter in boxing it baffes me how a guy who always fights guys coming off dominating wins is looked at as worse than guys who always fight fighters coming off dominating losses. Or a guys who is fighting Champ after champ is fighting an easier schedule than a guy who fights the #10 ranked fighter.

Who was Herrera, Rios, Provodnikov, Adama*, Porter, Groves, Rodriguez, Angulo ect going into thoses fights none of them were as accomplished or decorated as Maidana now or champions at all yet most are looked at as better opponent's because, an unranked unknown Herrera/Provodnikov are closer in skill to Garcia/Bradley(two top fighters) than a champion Maidana (who probably beats Herrera/Ruslan) is to Mayweather.

That's what's great about sports though being able to stir up rivalries and emotions as champions rise and fall

If he was that drained at 152, he would be drained at 154 too.. If you're so drained that you're like a 'zombie' an extra 2 pounds won't do nothing.. You're saying he fights at 160 if he was that drained.. That would make more sense than being drained like a zombie going from 154 (or 153) to 152...

No he couldn't have... or else he would have. He said it himself... so if you aren't smart enough to take word from the man himself then you arent too bright. You think Canelo just felt like throwing a hundred grand away? How dumb are you?? Even if Canelo is making 10 or 20 mil, no way he is just like "pfft whats a hundred thou"

They both enter the ring around 170 to 174.. so again, what the hell are you talking about? Canelo outweighed Angulo in their fight... did you know that???

because what ever floyd does they think pac can do the same :verysad
i seen what pac did to rios and canelo would be 100x better then that. pac would get koed to me. canelo might not try to run him over at first but when he start countering manny punches and feeling pacman shots then he is going to for the kill. canelo is to big and good for pacman to beat. 147 is one thing but 154 elite is to much for pacman. canelo or lara would stop pacman in the real world. now that make believe **** people believe in on here, pac can do anything but im talking real life.

Christ, that's your definition of rocked? Did PAC even show signs of taking a punch other than the initial hop he took when the punch landed? Rocked is what happened to bradley in round one against provodnikov.

It stunned him for sure, but let's be clear: Bradley can't crack an egg. If that was JMM, Pacquiao would have done another plank job.

huh, did that have a rematch the whole world missed ? canelo was healthy and happy in his last 2 fights coming in at 153 then 152, he easily
could had made 54, he WANTED to come in as heavy as he could and taking a pound OFF would NOT help him putting
    weight back on.

I HATE when clowns , like you, don't watch a fight and just throw total bull**** out there.

    angulo was 174
    canelo was 170
    fact

    This would be interesting matchup.

Pacquaio would be slight favourite in my opinion.too much speed, but Pac needs to fight smart.Canelo could easily hurt Pacquaio if he becomes too reckless.

But if this match would happen,it needs to be 2014-2015 after that i think it's easy win for Canelo.

And i don't think Pac is willing to go up to JMW,maybe 149-152 CW is a possibility?

This would be perfect match for both.money and legacy wise.Pac is running out of credible opponents,Canelo after Lara should stay at JMW for one or two fights..

the fight will be FIXED if it happens.

Arum saw how easily Canelo "took a dive/threw the fight" with Floyd, so Arum knows that Canelo would take another dive , this time against Pac.
So that Arum & GBP can keep the Floyd vs. Pac fight on schedule for next year.

    Its business of making $$$$$$$$$$$$.

After all, Arum arranged FIXED FIGHT for pac in the past.
    1.) Pac-Margarito FIXED
    2.) Pac-Clottey FIXED
    3.) Pac-Mosley fixed

    and dont forget Floyd

    1.) Floyd-Delahoya FIXED
    2.) Floyd-Canelo FIXED

    .
