he thought he was going to outbox Floyd, but he underestimated how good Floyd's legs were at almost 40 years old. Floyd schooled his ass.
Hundreds of good/great fighters have gone into a fight and either not been able to execute a good gameplan or came in with the wrong one. This isn't much different. After a lot of post fight interviews you hear fighters saying things about their opponent (not necessarily Floyd) that the guy was different, whether it be he had more power/less power, more speed/less speed than they expected. It happens but apparently is always a huge life changing or "point proving - see I was right" deal when it involves Canelo, Floyd, Pac or Golovkin. At the end of they day, they fought, Canelo accepted the terms and he lost. I hated the catchweight but Floyd beat him. Canelo was 1 more corrupt scorecard from a draw and Floyd will never get full credit for that fight from many fans. I don't put much value in the children here that use "clever" nicknames for fighters though. When it comes to the fighters I mentioned, there is too much hate.
