did he think he was actually a slick fighter??

punchers were going through and over it, a full guard would have worked much better.

With that said ,Brewsters defense was better tonight than the first fight. Wlad was slaughtering him with power punches in the first fight ,so much so Wlad couldnt possibly miss and exhausted himself.

I think merchant summed it up perfectly. If you remember the first fight he took a lot of punishment to finally land his shot, and he no longer has the figthing guts to make those type of fights. At this point Brewster should call it a career.

IMO mcgirt tried to turn brewster into something he is not.
He should have stsyed with his previous trainer, who told brewster to fight first then bx second.

Brewster was trying cross guard and actually managed to stop and Make Wlad miss loads of right hands. In general Brewster has weak defence. He is a little jumpy and clearly unsure of which guard to employ. Usually Brewster does all that **** plus soaks up the shots and gets in to bomb away. Wlad never let him in.

If you ask me that had more to do with Waldo pacing himself than anything Brewster was doing.
