What the weigh in really tells us

just a thought, in a same day weigh in as used in the early years of boxing, how many hours before the fight is the weigh in held.. i real before that the weigh in is done a before noon. That's about 12 hours before the fight unlike right now where there is almost 30 hours to regain the lost body water and energy

I swear this Pac-JMM rivalry is so much like 1980's Celtics-Lakers.

Those two guys are accepting the most unreal challenges, and their names are gonna be bound together in the minds of boxing followers for all eternity, whatever happens to their respective fights this year.

 

Who did you root for in the Laker-Celtic rivalry?

I live In LA, so I was and still am a big Laker fan.......Kareem is my favorite Laker of all-time.

When talking basketball, I always let them know, Kareem won a title without Magic, but Magic never without Kareem!

 

I was too young to care about basketball back in their prime, but I can still remember hating Bird's untoned, jiggly legs, all pasty white and wearing a handlebar moustache and a mullet. :yep

But when I grew up, and saw the replays on cable TV, I liked Boston's old school, textbook style of basketball, better.

I loved Kareem, though. I became obsessed with practicing the 2 footed jump hook and the one footed skyhook back in high school. That 7'2 dude moved smoother and more graceful than some NBA point guards.
