Good show of skill from both fighters.

Firstly, I would like to say that I was unaware Petrosyan was a 2 time K-L champion.:rofl

What do you think of this fight?

The Thai fighter Sudsakorn Klinmee was just two weeks removed form his victory over Kem Sitsongpeenong (formerly Kem Fairtex) who Petrosyan also beat.

if you are unfamilar with Kem or Sudsakorn here are both of their fights which I recommend.:good

well I will just say that I thought Petrosyan won it convincingly.

I will also say that Petro needs to stop fighting Thais, unless he goes and fights them in Thailand (this match took place in Petrosyan's county of Italy- I know he is Armenian but Italy is where he lives - Petrosayn's fight against Kem and Naruepol Fairtex was also in Italy).

Petrosyan was clearly winning the fight against Sudsakorn from the outside, but when they exchanged shots from close range Sudsakorn was able to score, but still was losing more exchanges than he was winning.

In the clinch however it was a different matter. Sudsakorn controlled and won the clinch exchanges, imagine if this fight was in Thailand and with a Thai ref, the clinchfighting would not only be scored but would not be broken up immediately like they were in this fight. Sweeps would also score and Petro can be swept.

With the hometown advantages these wins against top Thai fighters cant be seen as legitimate victories in Muay thai unless Giorgio Petrosyan fights them in Stadiums of Thailand where they made their name. remember Petros lone defeat came at the hands of Nonthanan Por. Pramuk at Lumpineean in Bangkok. The other Por Pramuk fighter Buakaw Por Pramuk should have made it two losses on Petrosyan's record but it was scored a draw.

Anyway good victory for Petrosyan. Sudsakorn as you can see is mainly an outside fighter anyway, and Petrosyan was clearly better at that range. He really is a treat to watch. That straight left of his is a killer, the right hook is also a dangerous weapon. Giorgio really does not waste many punches but can be agressive like he was in this fight.

The bad news is that I heard Petro hurt his hands in this fight. Hopefully he heals up and is back soon to fight Cosmo Alexandre.
