It seems like when a general forum guy finds classics I think they all most a Ali Vs Tyson thread....

 

I agree with someone mentioning Jimmy Young. He's kind of replaced Tua and Toney as the overrated, revisionist history poster boy. He was a very good and crafty fighter and a cool fighter to adopt as a favorite, but it's been getting a little carried away recently. His best shot at ultimate glory was against Ken Norton and he didn't quite get it done.

 

Yea Dempsey does get done allot...dempsey aganst old timers...modern heavys...then because his size he ends up getting matched against everyone from 160 and up. I even see him on all kinds of other forums...mma forums because of his judo catch as catch can wrestling and bar fighting background.

 

As Meast said it has calmed down alot recently. But if theres a thread asking who has the best [insert anything] attribute, win, skill, anything, of all time, Duran is getting mentioned. Regardless of whether or not there are dozens clearly above him.

If anyone is beating anyone from Lightweight to Middleweight, Duran is getting mentioned.

He also has an annoying nack for being brought up in threads that have absolutely nothing to do with him. A link to the Barkley fight usually accompanies this thread invading fashion
