Once he get's hit he reverts back to his old self.Amateurish, throwing punches in bunches those are scoring shots. But this is the pros he just can't throw those pitty pat shots.

My advice would be to tie up.

 

Keep your guard up, keep on the outside and move, dont trap ypurself in the corner and clinch when he gets in close and push to create some space to move away

 

Roach told him to clinch but by then it was too late, his legs were gone. I agree with Stewart in that I don't think he made a tactical mistake, it just happens in boxing sometimes.

I think he was too aggressive but he was winning the fight and landing easily vs Garcia, he just got caught.

 

He needed to calm himself and clinch effectively. But that (clinching) takes skill and ring IQ and he unfortunately just doesn't have the tools, this is a guy who doesn't even know how to take breathers even in fights he's pissing and he's never been taught how to clinch. Khan was actually trying to trade and hoping for the best even whilst he was on ***** street. No survival/defensive instincts and he can't really change that because you are who you are. As soon as that first big shot landed the fight was pretty much over.

 

Jab, double jab and run for atleast the next round. Once he gets his composure back, lateral movements, stiff jabs and hard counters.

Knock his ass down back. Stand your ground go toe-to-toe.

 

Take this entire round to recover. Just move, don't engage with him, make him have to run just to catch you. Keep your hands up, keep your guard tight, don't throw any punches except a counter if he leaves himself wide open trying to get you, and then only throw one or two at a time, so he doesn't have a chance to hit you in an exchange.
