Got a fight this Sat., same day weigh in, and I had to lose 10 lbs for this fight in one week (still got 5 lbs to go, two days.) Yeah **** happened and I hope to never cut that much again. Anyways, I cut 5 lbs just by reducing cals significantly (1600-1700 cals/day) and restricting myself of carbs. Gonna cut the last 5 lbs through water weight. Considering these circumstances, what do I eat after the weigh in? Then got 3 1/2 hours till the fight. Should I just get in some simple carbs (white rice, pasta, etc.), and you recommend also getting a bottle of Pedialyte (heard its a great recovery drink)?
It will make precisely zero difference 3 hours before you fight. Maybe have a glass of milk or something as well, protein fat and carbs in one source.
