If that's the case then I stand corrected.

Winky was a classic high risk, low reward opponent, and was definitely one of the most avoided guys I've ever seen. I honestly think if Shane Mosely hadn't given him a chance, he would have stayed in obscurity. I know he had the Vargas fight, but that really didn't do much for him, Mosely is what really put him in the spotlight. Sadly though, it was a double edge sword, because Winky got an overinflated sense of worth, and began pricing himself out of all kinds of worthy opportunities, DLH was just one of many. In the end he wound up never making close to what he could have :bart.

Although I am not an Oscar fan, I really do give him props for his courage. Going up way in weight, being the tremendously smaller man against a guy like Hopkins really did make me forever respect his heart for sure.

See Manny Pacquiao' avoidance of a Floyd Mayweather fight. I would never disrepect this:

I am a huge fan of both guys, more so Mayweather though, strictly because I really love defensive specialists. However, I really do like Manny alot, and don't understand why everyone has to be so biased, and the general trend of where if you're a fan of one, you must loathe the other.

Now with that said, Pacquaio's "dodgy" behavior, to put it nicely, towards testing has always made me extremely suspicious. I mean he has cited some downright superstitious beliefs, which make no sense. He clearly is not afraid of "spilling blood" and such, because he wouldn't have tattoos if that was the case. The other reason he has stated repeatedly is that it "drains" him, which again doesn't make sense, because the amount of blood required to do the testing would not have that ramification. Even if it did, both fighters are doing the same testing, so there is no excuse, because they both give blood, so this would constitute no advantage to either man, even though as previously stated, it's an erroneous argument.

I think Pacman is a tremendous fighter, but the whole situation is just extremely sketchy. The guy can jump weight classes effortlessly, seems to gain power every single time, endless stamina etc. but out right refuses testing? I'm a big fan of his, but am finding it hard to justify... when a guy does unprecedented things like he has, but refuses testing, it does question his legitimacy.

Again, I'm a huge Manny fan, but if I'm to be honest, those are things that just don't sit right. I think the majority of boxing fans are quite suspicious of him now, not just the huge Mayweather fans.

I dont believe Bradley ducked Khan, hes the wrong type of fighter to do that, look at his record.Hell fight anybody.British promoters and press throw that accusation around loosely. My opinion is its an insult to a top fighter who talks with his fists and avoids nobody,a bit of a throwback.

    I agree with you completely.

I'll never criticize someone for turning down one fighter, to fight a much better fighter, period. To me, that doesn't constitute a duck at all, I think it was a VERY smart move on his part. Who is to say that Pacquaio would have been available later on? **** happens all the time in this sport, I think it was a brilliant decision on his behalf. He made a ton more money, and fought one of the best p4p fighters in the world at the time, I applaud him.

If it waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.
